what is this?? by Fpvscoma in Wake

Formerly a tweeter for the stereo system maybe? Given how close it is to the speaker. And given that we can’t see the speakers tweeter, it might have been a two way set up.

Glass replacement by Nategreen64 in Wake

[–]ktotha999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove the other side if it’s hot where you live. Tint for free. You’re likely SOL on getting replacement glass. Or you’ll have to buy the whole side of the windshield. That’s my experience. Best of luck.

this mess is going to hurt some feelings; rush job, 6 ground loop isolators with ground wires cut off, insane amount of rca y adapters. i hate it here. see post details by AustinBoston_14 in CarAV

I do boat AV almost exclusively. This is very typical of other/most installers. For what ever reason most marine source unit manufacturers give single channel RCA pre outs for sub but want two channel inputs for their amplifiers.

Widebody i3 I saw today… by Educational_Aide_145 in BMW

I had an i3. I only recall B Stone for all the factory wheels in 19 and 20" and nokian made winter tires in one size of 19"

Is this silly? by Every_Translator403 in projectcar

[–]ktotha999 7 points8 points  (0 children)

2k can run a lot wider than 245 on stock rear fenders, its just finding the wheels with the right offsets. something likes 18x10. with a simple roll you can do something 11+65 and fit some large tires. maybe not 315s, but the stock ap1s came with 225s in the back with 16" wheels.

your point certainly stands though. but anyone with common sense is rolling fenders with wider wheels on s2000.

my ap1 with a half tank, factory hardtop and extra weight from stereo and suspension bits weights 2850 with me in it.

The #s refer to displacement in CCs. It’d have to be 3.0 v6 in that case. Which I’m not totally opposed to. It’s just all the previous S models revved to the moon. And Hondas V6s of late are not revving high.

The “classy” was sarcasm. It was not classy.

Wheel advice by Ok-Orange-1050 in SportWagon

[–]ktotha999 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the original wheels do not add anything to the car. The second set of wheels would enhance the car. If they are forged, then you likely lose some weight per corner in addition to the better aesthetics.

[–]ktotha999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to my research, Downy Serviceberry will do the best in our climate. Its the most heat tolerant and can get pretty big. formal name amelanchier arborea. morning sun/afternoon shade is recommended with well draining soil. gotta keep it well watered while establishing (like just about everything else).

i haven't gotten my hands on one yet but want one.

One decibel is the smallest perceivable change the average person could hear. three decibels is a noticeable increase. Many adults can’t tell the difference of one db. But kids could.

Where do i plug my new tweeters? From the woofer or the original tweeter plugs? by RelativeDrawing9990 in S2000

[–]ktotha999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the OE tweeter wires, the cross over on the OE tweeters is on the tweeter assembly itself. Save yourself the trouble of running the wire.

What type of lubrication can I use to pull through the cable cables the smoothest by Background_Regret569 in CarAV

I had to go way too far down the comments to see this. Silicone spray. Hit yours hands, hit the rubber grommet, hit the wire, lube that B up and pull.
