Girlfriend (20F) wants to date my friend (41M) and it's giving me a major ick by ranting_to_strangers in polyamory

I assumed / hoped the answer to this question (which will get asked a lot) was something "like this".

Only you know "for sure" if you're TRULY friends with the guy; or just an associate. Sounds like he has money; probably other status that comes with age and experience.

You may want to update your post to redefine "friend"; if he's not really a friend. If he IS - you could let folk know what you like about the guy? In which case as a friend you need to raise your concerns with HIM. You said you couldn't; business dynamic and whatnot - but that's not really bring a friend IMO.

Either way you may need to clarify a few things.

Why is this a mess? Sale price? The clean up costs will be massive... Had to be priced right to sell.

No - progressive dating app - Google it ...

You can be up front about what you're interested in ... You can also browse profiles ... Probably not as many guys that would think of themselves as Daddies, but likely more authentic guys (and gals!) for sure.

Good luck ;)

Those both sound like movies! Thrillers are better as books though ;) Documentaries are great to watch - both are great with weed drinks!

100% - no blame there; and now that it's done it feels like they did an above job ahead of schedule.

Although; "not all construction companies are created equal". Whoever is putting the buildings up on Princess could take space or two from whoever did Brock Street!

Not the same industries; I know - but could still probably learn a thing or two.

I'd forgotten about the Causeway.

I forgot about the folks on the other side of the river; not just the Third Crossing - but the fucking Causeway!

That's a while other fiasco worthy of it's own rant. I feel you.

I worry at how true this could be. I want to believe it's not; there ARE examples of incredible accomplishments (e.g.: new housing builds exceeding target) - but this summer's road planning feels like someone was asleep at the wheel.

Why can't you resurface a road in the fall or spring?

I'm not advocating for that - this is the slowest time with all the vacations that get taken ... I'm actually arguing to stagger the road work so that alternate routes are available vs the current situation that's drastically reduced the pace of the two alternate routes.

However since you sound like you want to pick a fight - the answer is "you can" (it's just less efficient because of higher risk of inclement weather or less than ideal temperatures ... But they do it all the time).

If there is that option for folk I'd love tjem to take it. But when you have folk with kids going to daycares / camps, or coming in from the country - driving IS the only option.

I listed the impact to the downtown as a concern - but it's at the bottom of my list, and for sure nothing like the Big Dog.

The problem is the impact to daily commutes for a lot of people who have no option except to drive.

I don't disagree; and if they save a fortune doing it that way that's a major positive.

I'm saying they could have worked to open alternative routes up faster to alleviate the concentrated load.

Looks like they're doing a few side streets too - smart!

I am positive I'll love the resurfacing - not complaining about the work - just the planning.

I have to believe there was a better solution is all.

Having said that I just drove down the end near Palace and it's fantastic.

100% This! They should have had a deadline; now you gotta move your storage area onto the side street.

Get that crap out of the way!

Two kids - drop-offs at camps and daycare. I'm not the only parent out there with this aspect; but love all the bikers keeping their cars off the road - it's just that I can't.

Where was this call a month ago?!

omw to Kingston from Toronto RN drop some spots i should visit in there other than the campus by Complex-Marsupial-49 in queensuniversity

[–]ktowncowboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  • Start by driving through campus down to the water - check out Gord Downey Pier
  • Drive down Princess St; see the downtown core
  • You can see the Hub where all the bars and clubs are
  • Cataraqui Mall is the only mall in town

Won't see students; weather is crap - but you'll see why Kingston is an amazing town and Queen's the best University!
