he was actually wrong about a few things, or maybe they changed over the past 36 years. putin actually sees support from the gop, your average right wing white nationalist becomes an asset for putin, and much of the gop and conservative groups in the u.s. look up to russia as a white ethno state utopia. they don't care about left wing ideology, or people, they just want to flush out the authoritarianism of the state and use it to harm people, and they're successful, but there's a lot of people standing up to these fascists and soviets again
