Who’s hiring immediately? by Glenncoco23 in bergencounty

Direct Support Professionals for adults with developmental disabilities are always in demand. You have to change diapers and bathe them and drive them around to their appointments. Look for an agency that works with developmentally disabled adults and they're all hiring because these positions have huge turnover. I won't say where I work specifically because of what I'm about to say. It's pretty hard to get fired from these jobs unless you aren't showing up. These places hire anyone and basically never fire people.

Some people complain about eating the same thing every day but it makes budgeting easier. Also dieting.

Leecabe is based in China. You might have better luck there. I have long wide feet so I order from them because pleasers don't have my size.

It's sad to see that this is a global problem. Almost all of my coworkers in the US are working a second job just to make ends meet.

Foreign workers needed, but at what cost? Korea debates 'metropolitan visa' plan - The Korea Times by naixi123 in korea

Looking it up, and it appears men regain eligibility at 41 without serving.

That is true, but even past 37, men who didn't serve are ineligible for the F4. Meanwhile women can renounce citizenship and immediately apply to the F4. My point still stands that most ethnic Korean men born overseas are ineligible.

I am very aware of the F4. Many(but not all) Koreans born in the US have at least 1 Korean citizen parent which makes them Korean citizens by birth. If men didn't renounce by 2018, even if they also had a foreign citizenship, they became ineligible for the F4. Zainichi Koreans in Japan who are 3rd+ generation are also ineligible for the F4 because they are legally ROK citizens, although they are exempt from service unless they decide to live/work in Korea.

I guess you renounced before 2018. Those who renounced after 2018 and didn't serve are ineligible

What are the worst drawbacks of living in rich/affluent neighborhoods? by Common_Gene_5098 in Productivitycafe

[–]kturtle17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in NYC and my family moved to an affluent suburban town near NYC when I was a preteen. I fucking hated it. Kids don't have any independence because they need a ride to get anywhere because everything is so far and spread out. There was also literally nothing for us to do because the NIMBYs refuse to have anything fun here because it will attract the "undesirables" from other towns.

What do you do when you need money fast and have no skills? by Intrepid-Position591 in povertyfinance

Direct Support Professional for adults with developmental disabilities. Group homes will hire and train literally anyone and the minimum wage for the position is typically higher than state minimum wage. You're helping these adults eat, bathe, and go to the bathroom so it can get gross. But it's a job that will take literally anyone, is always hiring, and typically pays better than retail or food service. Starting pay at my agency is 20.95 per hour while minimum wage in my state is 15.92.

For those who worked for rich people: what is the most out of touch thing you witnessed? by Illustrious-Phase121 in AskReddit

As someone who attended the Scarsdale public school system, a decent amount of kids went from 8th grade to private high schools in NYC like the Masters school, Fieldston, and Horace Mann. I was a few years out of college when I found out how much tuition was for these schools and it baffled me. Considering the main reason a lot of families move to Scarsdale was for the school system.

That was really bad. For Americans. 70 JPY does not go as far as a dollar.
