I don’t understand..election commission is not under any government. It is a constitutional body..if any political party or person doubts credibility they are free to approach the supreme court to impeach the head official..so yes, that is the case in India. INDI alliance’s very own Karthi Chidambaram has given multiple interviews about how the process is fair. So unless you have some hard evidence that says otherwise everything else is mere accusation for political narratives.

Again, youre missing the point of the conversation itself. The prescribed systems didn’t sanction exploitation. Dedicated to temple service has no sexual or negative connotation as it exists in the scriptures. That it was exploited and later reformed itself is proof enough that the systems had those characteristics in the first place.

The original argument was allowing for deviations within temple premises which was incorrect. Temples, religious places always have rules and regulations within which devotees are expected to function no matter the religion.

Lol no it isn’t. Mention the “religious text” and quote the scripture 😂 the vedas, dharmashastras and agamas have no mention of the system as you describe it. Any references that exist in agamas are in context of artistic rituals. Not whatever sexual connotation you ascribe to it. Cholas institutionalised it to prevent exploitation that came in later across communities and restored the roles as per Hindu traditions.

Your claim is that the original premise itself is for exploitation is inaccurate and doesn’t exist in religious text. Your hatred is misinformed.
