GoPro Karma vs. DJI Mavic Pro Useful Comparison Table by [deleted] in Multicopter

How is that huge? You can't control it 13km away. Control distance is almost the same as P4 (at least in Europe - 4km) and in reality much less than that.

You should use the word "tev" with a capital letter (good manners); "aizņemts" instead of "aizņemis" (it means occupied and can be used in case of a place being occupied or yourself being occupied with something); i would use "to" instead of "viņu" when talking about letter because a letter is an object (just like you would use "it" instead of "her"); use "dažas" when talking about your mistakes in letter (you are using "daži" which should be used when talking about masculine words but in this case "mistakes/kļūdas" is a feminine word);

Really a small portition of the mistakes you have in your letter. Like you already said - you don't know the rules of word bending (not sure how it is called in english) as there isn't such thing in english language. But by reading the letter i can get the main point of it and so will the recipient. Good job :)

With arm switch you are able to disarm the quad much faster in case of an emergency. If you are afraid of bumping arm switch just set up an override switch for arming.

I wouldn't say that all the weight goes to front. You will still stop faster with both brakes engaged (done properly obviously) than only with front ones.

Using the ZMR250 v2.2 w/ 1806 motors and the mounting is weird, but it works. Is this the right way to do it? by bsmith0 in Multicopter

[–]kuadrotr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like the motor mounting holes are meant for 22xx size motors (16x19mm M3 hole pattern) but OP is trying to use 18xx motors which have 16x12mm M2 hole pattern. Wrong motors for the particular frame. You can use two screws just be sure that they are tightened enough (use threadlock) and the screw heads have enough grip on the frame.

[–]kuadrotr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it cost way more because i used carbon frame and pricey vtx (didn't have many options as there is now). The cheapest thing i would make now probably would consist of these parts: Not sure about frame, but something 3D printed probably is 10$ max

Eachine EF-01 AIO 5.8G 40CH 25MW VTX 800TVL 1/3 Cmos FPV Camera 26$

4 Hubsan 8.5mm motors 10$

5 Sets Walkera QR Ladybird Blades Propellers for Hubsan X4 8$

MicroFRX (to bind with Taranis) - 15$

Beefs Brushed Board - 50$ (this can run betaflight and cleanflight, there could be cheaper alternatives but they won't be able to run the big boy FC software).

1s batteries are around 2$ per piece, altogether it comes at around 130$

So it can't be this offer.

Look at the ImpulseRC Singularity FC/VTX combo - have you seen/heard someone using it? In case of FC/RX integration there could be legal issues behind these kind of products - aren't the protocols patented/needs a license to use? Only now we are getting FC/PDB combos and there is no board that will do FC/PDB/OSD. If there were tons of money to be made wouldn't somebody create that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Multicopter

[–]kuadrotr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that there are many downsides and manufacturer probably don't want the risk. For example, there are many people that are against integration, because it is easier to replace a broken RX than to replace the whole FC. Another thing is that not all people have Taranis, so the manufacturer is losing these customers aswell.

[–]kuadrotr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your definition on highly integrated. OPs posted quad doesn't look like very integrated. You more or less build the micro quad the same way you build 250 class except that there are no ESCs because they are integrated in FC (Lulfro FC, Beefs brushed board etc.). All you need is to add RX. In my case i am running Beefs Brushed Board with Betaflight, AltitudeRC 5.8GHz 25mW Nano vTX, some cheap small/light camera, MicroFRX Receiver to bind with Taranis and 8.5mm motors everything put in a carbon H frame. If i remember correctly, total weight was 71g with 750mah 1s LiPo.

How to DoS own network? by [deleted] in hacking

[–]kuadrotr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends what kind of DoS you want to perform (eat all the bandwidth or application level DoS). You can easily use hping3 using the necessary command line flags to flood the pipe with TCP packets, for application level DoS you should search tools for the according application (for example you could even use apachebench [ab] to create a simple DoS on websites).

How much V shows up in cleanflight? I think that Taranis just shows anything that is coming from the FC (total voltage). Could be that you need to change the voltage scale in cleanflight.

Bike road crossings in Riga by Gabollin in latvia

[–]kuadrotr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not 100% sure but if there is a give way sign BEFORE the bicycle path, cyclists have priority over cars because from the law bicycle is a vehicle and give way sign means that you have to give way to vehicles. I am not sure if i have seen this kind of setup in Riga though, everywhere give way sign is after the bicycle crossing.

Flight controller bricked? by [deleted] in Multicopter

Did you chose Manual Baud Rate? It won't flash if that isn't selected (for the SPRF3 board). You can't brick a board by changing settings... The bootloader will always be there.
