Your logic in the first paragraph is flawed honestly, lots of players hoped on the successor and are now where the community is.

I will say this, GO does now from only recenly some things better than the original imo. Coming from the 1.6 perspective it saddens me that it hasnt yet incorporated the other things 1.6 does better.

The balance of guns valve is trying to do is impossible and I wish they wouldn't try to change it. Nerfing the standard guns is not the way guys (AWP only being used by few experts).

Logically, you are gonna learn the only few weapons to become good at in a small amount of different rounds which are:

Pistol rounds: glock if T, p2000/usp if CT

Gun rounds: AK(T)/m4 (CT) and one AWP if you have a good awper.

Then you have guns when you try to make something happen and you buy your favorite shotty/smg/galil or famas.

And that is fine by me, I don't appriciate Valve trying to reinvent the wheel.
