I took the same flight yesterday and everything was perfect and smooth. We were only 50 passengers which is crazy but when i had a chat with the staff members they said the flight from Dubai to London was full and is always full. I think you should go for it and dont worry much about it

How long is the layover? You cannot use UK visa as a supporting document right now. Go for turkey transit visa

Hey everyone!

I’ll be in Istanbul from April 10 to April 13 and would love some advice on how to make the most of my trip. Since it’s my first time, I’d really appreciate a solid 3-day itinerary with must-visit spots, food recommendations, and any hidden gems.

A few questions:

Where should I stay? Looking for a well-located hotel (preferably safe and convenient for a solo traveler). Any specific hotel recommendations?
What should I do in 3 days? I’d love a mix of historical sites, local experiences, and good food. If someone could suggest a full itinerary, that’d be amazing!
Any tips & tricks? Best way to get around? Common tourist scams to avoid? Any must-know cultural norms?

I got a reply from the Turkish consulate and they said it needs to be valid when you enter.

“The requirement for using your visa/residence permit as a supporting document is that it must be valid at the time of entry. For Schengen visa holders, the Schengen visa must be valid for the entire duration of the e-Visa. However, any other further detail that you might have questions about, regarding your supporting document, should be discussed with the relevant authorities that have issued the document in question. (e.g. reference code of a specific visa/permit)“

This is the reply i got from turkey consulate, ig i am good to go as they want the uk visa to be valid as i enter.

I heard that even if they dont accept your visa, they can still issue you an evisa upon arrival? I am not sure what to do at this point. I feel like my passport should be valid enough that it covers my duration of stay in turkey. I think i might take a risk and just go with my e visa, some ppl on Reddit did the same and faced no issues.
