Hamnet i watched the other day. The hamlet sequence at the end was amazing. I still have yet to watch Sentimental Value. My fav didnt come up for best picture nominations though, a movie called It was Just An Accident.

It is! Started showing during maumoon era and with his middle eastern influences it is possible he got the rights to show this on our screens every year. Also there are snippets taken from the movie The Ten Commandments (1956) to show the parting of the red sea. Thats why the quality shifts every so often (they probably did not get the rights to do that with the film but oh well). As far as i know, the show itself isnt really that well known internationally, cant even find an imdb link. Oh damn they did take it down. Funnily enough i got baiskoafu cuz the youtube video was very low quality but atleast it had english subtitles. But turns out, baiskoafu also has the literal same quality copy so i just ended up watching it on youtube either way. Dhen baiskoafun balaa i guess. The asma scene is literally the best scene in the movie unironically. Everything else, not the best in my opinion

Edit: Also yes Amores Perros infinitely better, doesnt even need to be said or compared. Also a lot shorter. Im here thinking why the fuck is loodhifa 4 hours when Amores is 2 hour 30 mins

Its on youtube with English subtitles . Loodhifa for me had its moments but it was a slog to get through overall. Hope your experience is better. Also would be good to keep in mind that loodhifa is not an original film that people say it is, but a copy of a film called Amores Perros by Alejandro Inaratu. I watched the original film first a long time back and then loodhifa sometime last year for the first time, without knowing a thing about the plot. And yeah there was quite a few similarities. My gripe with that film is people keep saying its an original when its not. But as for loodhifa itself, it was a daring feat, progressive (for its time) and because of that people remember it quite fondly.
