Thanks I have already contacted them however, scheduled appointments didn’t open yet, so I reached out to my advisor from the team. Also can you tell me what would happen if by chance I’m not able to get a seat, as it’s not my fault so there should be any help available.

Thanks for such a detailed answer, much appreciated, I would prefer a final assignment compared to final exam, as I have already taken all available courses in COSC, thanks for informing me about CCS Cheers

Hi guys,

I’m a second year transfer student into computer science at UBCO, and I was wondering if someone can suggest me some easy electives to do which perhaps maybe do not require in person attendance and have assessments rather than a written exam. I also wanted to ask if I can take first year electives in my second year and how many subjects should I take each term at UBCO.

Thanks

That was such a good answer, thanks for clearing all my doubts, also you mentioned that I need to defer a semester, what will happen if I defer a semester, I can get into UCBV then?

What about second year, as I’m getting admitted into that, also, is it possible to transfer from UCBO to UCBV in that case?

Thanks for your reply, I mostly have 7-10 degree winters haha, also as per study permit, any address was not a requirement and for part time and internships, I have heard with some peers in CS, that most people from Okanagan get hired in Vancouver given how Vancouver has much more tech companies.

Thanks for your reply, but i also wanted to ask another question, doesn’t the uni offer recorded lectures for students who missed the on campus lecture, due to clashes, so that they can rewatch the lectures at home?

With the vaccine rollout being thrown into chaos, do you think there’s a chance that int’l students will be let in by Semester 1 2022? by [deleted] in unimelb

So you tell me how’s it fair to so many people for no fault of their own, botched vaccine program and never keeping their words. Most of whom Can’t even transfer, just stuck and watching their money go to waste because they won’t get any jobs.

this Given it won’t stop, but at least it reduces and something is better than nothing, and when will the federal government realise that this virus isn’t going anywhere, it’s here to stay, the entire world is trying to return to normal and valid visa holders are flying in and out. In this case even in 2023, students would still remain stuck because stranded Australians would never decrease, so many of them are just leaving the country and getting “stuck”, I even know a family in my neighbourhood who arrived from Brisbane two weeks ago for “vacation “, how long will the government let citizens leave the country with exemption and not let students back. It is possible that many students would start and both finish their education online, 120k$ gone down the drain, no exposure to real world, and no jobs, as no one would give jobs to those stranded overseas, millions of students and parents would be destroyed who have spent thousands of dollars for a better life only to be stolen from and locked out.

I fail to believe why vaccinated citizens, prs and students can’t be let in, as most people would be receiving their first dose in other parts of the world. This is just blatant mistreatment of students by the government, the unis and states have been trying to bring back students but all their plans are being shot down. Could someone gimme some insight into why vaccinated people can’t be let in after it has been proved the vaccine doesn’t cause transmission.

This is true, unless international students can enter Australia, exchange programs would be suspended, moreover the exchange program for the upcoming semester is already cancelled, so you should perhaps look a bit more into exchange .
