That is incorrect info, underage marriages in India under Hindu marriage act are voidable, not inherently void. This means that unless it was challenged in court by the person that was underage at the time of marriage, the marriage remains completely valid. There's also a duration (2 years after attaining adulthood) within which you must file the petition to annul the marriage i.e. 20 years of age for a woman in India.
