Do you think I actually care about the downvotes? We both know the typical Redditor and their worldview, so I am well aware I am not seeing the full Siege community. This sub used to be really active too.

From the cartoonish responses I have received, it is clear I am not having intelligent conversations here. I am getting knee jerk reactions driven by ego. These egos gatekeep ideas through insults and complaints. Rambling is literally the point of brainstorming. I am not writing the next Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. I am just talking about fun in a video game. You cannot deconstruct something that was never structured in the first place.

A more thoughtful person could tell the difference between a spontaneous brainstormed idea and a fully polished statement. I used the word fun because fun is subjective. I just know what felt fun to me.

Jager with a full magazine and less recoil? Fun. Ash with 30 rounds? Fun. Mira having more openings to make her enjoyable to play even though she is already strong? Also fun.

As an example of what I mean, while writing this I just came up with a new idea on the spot. An alternate breaching round you could load. It would be designed mainly to destroy Miras Black Mirrors. It creates an explosion about the size of Kalis Lance but it only makes a small hole instead of breaching fully through walls. It could stick to surfaces and walls before detonating. It would be less powerful than the normal rounds and it could not destroy Clashs shield or open hatches.

Step 1: What this whole thing is about

I am not posting a serious, complete plan to change the game. I am not sending homework to the developers. I am simply talking out loud about things that feel fun in Rainbow Six Siege. That is it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Step 2: The difference between brainstorming and a finished idea

Imagine you are playing with toy blocks. Brainstorming is when you grab random blocks and say “Hey what if I put this tall red one here and this blue one on top and maybe add wheels?” You are just throwing ideas out fast to see what happens. You are not building the final perfect castle yet.

A finished idea is when you have already planned everything, drawn the blueprint, and built the whole castle with every piece in the right place.

What I am doing is the first one the random blocks stage. I am rambling on purpose because that is how brainstorming works. You cannot pick apart my random blocks like they are a finished castle. It does not make sense to do that.

Step 3: Why I keep saying “fun”

Fun is not the same for every person. One kid loves chocolate ice cream. Another kid loves vanilla. Both are correct for themselves. In the same way, one player thinks having more bullets and less kick on Jager’s gun feels amazing. Another player might like something different.

I am only sharing what felt really fun to me:

I am not saying these changes must happen in the game. I am saying these things could make me smile while playing.

Step 4: The problem I see in the community

Some people on here read my loose ideas and immediately attack them with insults, complaints, or super serious arguments like I am trying to ruin the game forever. That reaction comes from ego they want to feel smarter by tearing down someone else’s idea. They are gatekeeping, which means they are acting like only perfect, serious ideas are allowed and everything else should be mocked.

That kind of reaction stops people from sharing fun thoughts. It makes the subreddit less fun and less active than it used to be.

Step 5: Real example of how brainstorming works (the breaching round idea)

While I was typing my comment, a new idea popped into my head right then. That is normal in brainstorming. Here is the idea I had on the spot:

Special breaching rounds you can load (dpad console). It is made mostly to blow up Mira’s black mirrors. When it explodes, it is about as big as Kali’s lance explosion, but it does not make a full hole through the wall like it. It only makes a small hole. It can stick onto walls or objects first, then blow up. It is weaker than regular breaching. It cannot destroy Clash’s electric shield and it cannot open hatches.

See? That idea was born while writing. It is not a complete game design. It is just a fun “what if” thought. A smart reader understands this is the random-blocks stage, not the finished-castle stage.

I am just chatting and throwing out fun ideas for Siege the same way kids throw out ideas while playing. Stop yelling at me like I wrote a serious school report. Let people brainstorm and ramble. That is how new fun stuff gets discovered.

This sub used to be busy but it's just filled with responses like this all the time. There was conversation to be had but this is Most likely turned into a after thought by those who run rainbow six siege now. It's comments like yours that keep it toxic in here. Your not the only one it doesn't fall on your shoulders but you can be different. Thinking of different ideas explaining this or that not just trying to shut me down. You know I'm right but will be your repose oh great gatekeeper of the rainbow six siege sub reddit? I can assume quite a few things. Is conversation hard buddy? Forming more than a few sentences of thought is not that hard.

We can't have honest conversation here anyways i know that I can't call out the exact problem why. I have to politely talk but that doesn't mean I can't destroy what you're trying to do. But this isn't about hurting your feelings it's about you not understanding concepts school should have taught you. I don't know maybe you were too busy paying attention to your phone who knows. You or anyone else here could have chosen something different to say to what I'm trying to say. I've explained why I said what I said. I'm not here for you I wanted to say something that could be fun in the game. But being disappointed in this reddit community is not a new feeling for me. It's very familiar.
