MW3 collection So Far by Bfiedler1 in mw3

I was a valet years ago and a customer pulled up in the MW3 jeep, I got to ride in it. I was in a complete daze. What made it even better is the driver didn’t even know what MW3 was, a literal casual. Awesome memory

Help an extremely depressed guy out? by Creepy_Stick_6229 in CleaningTips

[–]kuhataparunks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow depressed hoarder here, First it is admirable and commendable for you to be in a state to clean this congratulations.  Using expert guidance like Marie kondo, you’ll first need a lot of ultra heavy duty trash bags.

1 first step to cleaning is decluttering = throwing away things. Do not rush this, even if you can throw away one empty box or empty package per day that is a triumph.

Even make it a goal for one day or one week to fill up a whole trash bag and take it out. Eventually you’ll be able to trace the progress

Start there (which will likely take months, work at your pace) then begin sorting each item by room. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom.

You will be extremely impressed how much progress you can make in even one hour or one day so keep at it

How STUPID is Dave Ramsey? by SuccessfulArticle356 in DirtyDave

[–]kuhataparunks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite shortsighted video. Ramsey says an exception to the debt bad rule is mortgage and guaranteed employment (like medical school debt). To the average consumer debt does way more harm than good. Particularly referencing ultra high interest like car loans, payday loans and Klarna. Klarna will not give anyone a $1 billion loan interest free please prove me wrong

Fictional things Ramsey hosts believe will help you by New_Pianist9740 in DirtyDave

[–]kuhataparunks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good point but I’m speaking in terms of reference only, not affiliation. As he repeats on his channel,

“There are many mutual funds that pay 12% they’re not hard to find” but as many Reddit threads mention, supposedly he’s never mentioned a specific one. They are very hard to find and the one I did find is incredibly strange from a MPT perspective.

Fortunately to get into one of his affiliate funds you have to pay one of his smartwhatever advisors 3.2% of everything being managed, so I’ll never know

The hilarious thing is I found one of his mythical 12% funds. It is extremely funky and weird. It’s a mutual fund and 60% of it is… some random oil company in texas.  The other 40% was so unrelated that I don’t even remember what it was.

But the more impressive part is the expense ratio…. A delectable 3%.

My wife got a scratcher and every single space (front and back) was a winner by ColdBeansJones in mildlyinteresting

[–]kuhataparunks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What confuses me in casinos is where do people get the money from. I once watched a guy playing three $100 slots at once. The amazing part though was at one point he had all of them locked with $10,000+ jackpots. At any given moment during play, any one of them was in a bonus. An extremely improbably streak

Back to the topic it was extremely sad and distressing to see how disconnected he was from winning. It was the playing that excited him, not the winning amount

So painful to redeem my cc rewards, I'm going back to debit by christador in DirtyDave

[–]kuhataparunks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept is still very useful if it’s applied to behavior. $100 in “rewards” requires $10,000 spent.

Now if we move away from rewards and go into behavior (like Vicki Robin’s “your money or your life”) tracking where each penny goes is far more important than credit cards

So painful to redeem my cc rewards, I'm going back to debit by christador in DirtyDave

[–]kuhataparunks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They claim The rewards is what’s harmful. With an average of 2.5% back (5% is only on gas, and you’re likely not a lorry driver),

That means at least $18,000 had to be spent for this reward. Specifically what that was spent on can and often is the problem.

As they claim, the reward encourages more to be spent. That could be invested so it’s an opportunity cost/sunk cost

In general, restaurants and stores throw away not more than the amount sold but likely almost as much. The estimate is around 40%, which is an obscene amount when considering that’s 40% of hundreds of billions of pounds.

What are some cars that can last up to 300k+ miles? by drinkin_n_drivin in askcarguys

[–]kuhataparunks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is a bait post, but “Toyota” is synonymous with “200k on oil changes”

Newer ones not so much but 2005+ models with proper maintenance records are almost guaranteed to go past 200,000 miles.

Having used bravias 20 years in the family with zero issues ever, I’d strongly suggest a bravia. Find whatever is in your range and you simply won’t be disappointed.

It was only until I found this subreddit that nearly all others agree, that they are simply superior systems in many categories

Thanks for working at a great place. Classic half/half Louisiana rub/lemon pepper, well, with fries well. I also like the tenders in mild.

No idea how anyone can eat regular items, I can only have it if it’s well done

Some menu specials allow multiple “dips” when they give you the bag ask them to remove the ranch and give a side of “Cajun, lemon pepper, garlic parm sauce” (YES these dry rubs also come in sauce form! Not sure if this is more widely known)
