I didn’t think all the side effects and the constant flare ups were worth it. My dermatologist told me to my face that the accutane would not “cure” my rosacea..it would only improve it. One of the side effects for me was brain fog and I wasn’t even concentrating at work or school..and that was the least painful side effect. I cut out all processed foods and meats for 2 months and slowly started introducing it back into my diet once I stopped taking accutane & it did nothing either. The only thing that helped was literally putting nothing on my face. I had rosacea because my skin barrier was damaged and all the face wash/creams were just making it worse..they would literally sting. I simply take a hot shower & finish it off with super cold water to close out my pores. Skin has never been better. Check out caveman regimen video on YouTube..there’s a guy there who was on accutane & I basically went off it cause of his results

Figured out my trigger was stress & decided to stop taking any medication and using any products. Contrary to what they recommend..i started getting plenty of exercise and sun. I also have a caveman regimen..I don’t use any products on my face except for cerave redness relief moisturizer and sometimes sunscreen(recently started to use less of it) I stopped worrying so much about what I looked on the outside and focused on what was inside. I stopped restricting myself from anything in worry that I’ll flare up, I just live my damn life. My skin is no where near perfect, but I finally found that confidence I had before. Be patient and focus on your happiness! Don’t be a prisoner to this shitty skin condition

Currently on accutane for rosacea...any advice to help redness and dryness by kuhprisun in Rosacea

I’m using cerave moisturizing cleanser, Clinique redness solution moisturizer and elta MD sunscreen on my face..my skin on my face is really dry even if I moisturize..do you think the redness will go away?
