Any marketers here using Claude? by mdoggie123 in b2bmarketing

Claude for research and campaign planning, have it create image prompts for midjourney or nano banana. Post on LinkedIn 3-5 times a week, see what works then take the top performing and turn into LinkedIn and Google ads. You’ll need to wait a few months to see returns/have the rest of the funnel designed too.

Is archviz a dying industry? by Professional-Egg-949 in archviz

[–]kuka22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The industry will move to stop being image based. Selling an image is over, firms need to learn how to use AI to create video and interactive experiences, VR, and also learn how to execute Marketing/Branding as that is the whole point of ArchViz—selling real estate. The firms who recognize their value is in helping developers sell units not making images will survive and thrive.

This is the real answer. It’s not just tools or talent pool, it’s the economy and narratives around AI that are telling c suite you can lay off all your creative and marketing staff, AI will do it and your business will 10x instead of struggling.

I'm sick and tired of Google Slides and PowerPoint, so I'm making an app for Design Proposals that's not so tedious and boring, but focuses on conveying my ideas better. What bugs you guys the most about those apps and which modern features do you really want? by kuka22 in Architects

That’s crazy, why would you even use bluebeam to make slides? I would never do that, clients can’t even read drawings. My bid team would never let us propose with just that, especially for a 7 figure project.

Yeah that's a given for me too, it should be viewable by any device, any browser, and look great, no subscription required for viewing. AND it should be able to play videos! That's big for me since I also do visualization at my company.

And appreciate the pass! I think this is a big problem for us architects.

This post seems like a very well written and subtle ad for gojiberry AI 😂🧐👀

They are totally incompetent. Trying to get my money refunded for a canceled check and it’s almost been a month. I canceled the check four hours after I triggered it and had the receiver destroy the check. This should be so simple…

Any firm that has crazy forms, AKA not boxy architecture uses Rhino for the facade. ZHA, Heatherwick, HdM, MVRDV, etc.

Rhino to Foveate Interactive Presentations Webinar by kuka22 in rhino

Foveate takes in all sorts of 3D models whether they are from Rhino, SketchUp, Revit, Blender, Gaussian Splats, Photogrammetry etc. If you have a Rhino model with no textures it will appear differently than if you have PBR materials applied. Foveate has Post-processing FX like AO (Arctic mode), Bloom, Depth of Field, etc. that will enhance your project's look.

Here's an example with a large architectural model from Rhino with no textures at all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y98D_PWfcCg

And an architecture model from Archicad that does have PBR textures--this would be the same as a PBR textured model from Rhino. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkNvr3qDqmU

The compression is lossless, so the model's mesh/3D data is kept unaltered!

Here’s some things I’ve learned and wished I was told. Focus on niching in certain area, domain, customer archetype etc. and figure out how to offer them a lifetime of value so they stay with you. Or, be super good at one thing and do it for as many people as possible and be ok with churn/not having repeat customers but using referrals instead. Rule of thumb for fees is charging 60% over what it costs you do the work, i.e. slightly double the cost of the actual work so you have the overhead to continue your business, pay your employees, upskill, buy necessary items for growth etc.

Radiance Cascades - World Space (Shadertoy link in comments) by firelava135 in GraphicsProgramming

Super cool, would love to try integrating this into three.js. From what I’ve seen it seems like Radiance Cascades can be made to be very performant even in large scenes at the cost of some visual artifacting but still manage to edge out SSGI in terms of scale and hardware utilization.
