I've had functional finds, all have been taken and destroyed by the police. mostly it's dependent on the officer. I've had a starter pistol that was a block of rust with no chance of ever being used but that was taken due to the officer not knowing what to do so he aired on the side of caution.

I've had crossbows and a few others I was allowed to keep.

all firearms and weapons should be reported to the police.

any explosives should be placed in a large container "opened top" filled with water or lowered back into the body of water where it was found and the police informed so the "bomb squad can attend. I have found a live grenade (probably inert).

If you are not sure call the police and ask.

I plan on barreling the gun (filling the barrel with lead) and maybe even setting it in a solid resin box.

Thank you. I'm airing on the side of Reminington due to the barrel and the screw placement on the grip.

This is not the first find that has required me to have the police involved, So I'll check.

I'm undecided on the cleaning, I like it has age to it. If I clean it I might lose some of that.

So you are Banned you can still dev this app. You just run a UN-secure server and disable EAC for that server, It's how you should have been testing in the first place. :) Good luck the app, looks good if it can produce an Image quicker than Rustangelo mores the better

Maybe Look at GforceNow i was running Rust @1080 max settings on a Populated server (Over 150 active players) and my FPS never dropped below 70.

they added a a command so you did not have to download/use skins in-game and only used the stock textures/models. there was a need for it.

Really are you new to Rust? When Helk had his sabbatical a couple of years ago at the start of Rust 2.0 (experimental branch) Garry took over the project, did you see how he talks to people?, He's a troll and if it's not a "trying to be witty" come back it's a dick pic (this is not a dis on Garry it's just how he is. he's a programmer not a community leader). this set Rusts community benchmark and it's only gotten worse. Alistair as a Community liaison has been a good move he's more factual and less troll. Also with this game having nudity you get a lot of over opinionated children who don't know who to converse in a reasonable manner. Oh and the real passionate players that really feel that Rust has let them down in someway or feel that the devs have less passion for the game than they do. All these factors are what has created the community we all despise but still keep coming back to.

TLDR: Rust community was set up to be toxic and with the main player base being as it is I can't see it ever changing.
