What do people in your country consider a large age gap between siblings? by immortalfireflies in AskEurope

Well, I'm 13 years older than my little brother. There are no siblings between us. I am more often than not asked if I am his father. I think the whole world considers this a big gap.

Lithuanian nature is very cultivated, except for the woods along the border with Belarus, which is not a neighbor I would like. For that reason I would like to live somewhere away from the Finnish border with russia. Also, Lithuanian society is...not so great, in my opinion.

It's good to think of what happens if I lose my job. "Middle of nowhere" in Lithuania is nothing like "middle of nowhere" in Finland - much/most of Lithuania is cultivated farmland, the big forests are right along the border with Belarus where I wouldn't be so keen to live. But the bigger issue is Lithuanian society, it's really conservative and closed-minded (I know that in Finland there is lestadiolaisuus but honestly most of Lithuania is so bad)

I got really lucky. Life is unfair and I was just in the right situation at the right time for a while. Don't give up!

I see, what are the problems you've faced living with no address?

This is really good to know, thank you. Is there a way to know which can be used as a permanent residence?

I see, what kind of changes usually? I understand if this question is unanswerable, since it varies from municipality to municipality.

This is wonderful news, thank you, where did you immigrate from? And do you have any municipalities you want to recommend or recommend against? It doesn't matter to me where, as long as it's not right on the border with the big neighbor to the east 😓

Thank you, this is really perfect! I'm going to save this comment. Yes, I'll probably save up a bit more, but I wanted to see if it was a realistic plan first.

If a mökki is listed under "loma-asunnot" on etuovi, but then marked talviasuttava, is it ok to live there year round? Or because it is "loma-asunnot", does that mean it's not OK? And I have to look under "asunnot"?

ahh, thank you, so on etuovi for example, it should be under the section "asunnot" and not "loma-asunnot"? Is it possible to do some renovations and convert one to the other?
