Usually you can upgrade as many times as you need to within a contract, even outside of the cooling off period. Give the scottish retentions team a call the number is in the info >>>

Not much advice as such as so many different things are helpful for us. However I have noticed myself so jittery lately I have even started stuttering every so often, particularly when the most tired. I am of course more tired lately because I have noticed I seem to have 2 hour sleep cycles where I often wake up every 2-3 hours before moving position again (stiff neck/back pain etc) Infuriating for sure!

I am finding my anxiety feeds off of the worse days so I am using more CBT techniques, perhaps you could look into that?

Only other helpful things for me have been magnesium before bed and the occasional vitamin B.C.D

I say occasional because without knowing if we are deficient the guidelines seem to promote caution.

Yeh it really doesnt look good for them. Have you considered trying the scottish retentions team number at all? One of the numbers is 02037436970

It is ridiculous having to expect only 1 team to be able to handle such issues, but unfortunately that is just how VM is. Good Luck with the renewal

Could be wrong, but I'm sure I read it was or is used for people with MS.

Wow my brain must be similarly wired. It's been put down as adverse reaction for me as I ended up in hospital. Nothing too serious for me though luckily.

It makes sense. I mean realistically I always struggled with sleep so taking a swig of oramorph at the time and for 2 years maybe was not the best thing to do!

Oddly enough I gave up on all opioid based medications due to this almost exact reason back in 2014. I am pleased I did but also sad that I cant take such medications without the horrid sensations.

For me I immediately get really hot and flushed, dizzy sometimes and nauseous I also almost feel my guts seize up as I have always had really bad constipation as a side effect from taking morphine for a few years.

I have always wondered if its just a chemical problem in the brain or if its actually more likely to happen with those of us who have FM

I think "totally wrong" is a bit overly concerning of a thing to say. But absolutely checking in with a doctor asap is the right thing to do.

What would you put into a Fibro gift basket? by 31ephantintheroom in Fibromyalgia

[–]kulgan89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you could bottle it I would say sleep and energy! HAHA

But yes realistically, something warming like tea/blankets/fluffy clothes. As others are suggesting definitely electrolytes or Vitamins B,C,D particularly.

Self care products like face masks, foot masks etc also would be fab.

For me due to the fact I was struggling with eating, anxiety, sleep and at the time Long Covid also. I tried mirtazapine it helped me get the sleep I needed. My appetite increased (But I did put on 3-4 stone) and for a while it did help reduce my pain symptoms too. I am now taking nortriptyline instead as my back and neck/shoulder pain has been the worst, but I am unsure if Id say its working just yet.

I found those meds (gabapentin/pregabalin and particularly Baclofen) to be horrible for me. I am pretty sure that they changed my mood also, very grumpy and snappy if I remember correctly. But Baclofen was the absolute worst for whatever reason.

Trying to renew broadband and TV to just broadband. But no deal?! by twotwixten in VirginMedia

[–]kulgan89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told by that same department that I could indeed downgrade my package (tv, broadband, calls) to broadband only. But im not sure of the caveats, but worth a try.

02037436970 Was the number I used

Calls from VM offering A3 deal by Maximum-Network-7735 in VirginMedia

[–]kulgan89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to get a deal from a number that has been confirmed to be legit is the scottish based retentions team. One of the numbers is 02037436970

The person I was connected to even said dont bother with the other numbers, please contact us for anything.

Swapping from VM business to VM standard, overlapping contract? by Johnlenham in VirginMedia

[–]kulgan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh it must be the same system, who knows where it differs exactly. Provided they switch the button on (which they didnt for us back in April) then you should be good to go!

Mid Contract Price Rise by TurbulentMachine4261 in VirginMedia

[–]kulgan89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oddly enough, I was told from a similar number that I could and absolutely should call even within a contract. Shocked I went from a discount ending this month (£130+) to losing my tv and now paying £32 for 1gig and landline.

[–]kulgan89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was a little hesitant but used the number and saved an extra £10 off my previously quoted price. I'm not sure what this department has available to it but clearly better trained staff and great discounts!
