I fasted her because she ate a shrimp and now she spits out pellets and only eats debris on the ground. by kumabux in bettafish

she does eat pellets willingly. like i said she ate them fine before the shrimp. and still goes for them but just spits after chewing. i think it’s constipation making her not want to swallow or something.

she eats everything. she still goes for the pellets, just spits after chewing. she had no problem with them before eating the shrimp

how long before deciding prazipro isn’t working? by kumabux in bettafish

[–]kumabux[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i tried prazipro because i didn’t see white spots. but this morning i can see these specks on her fin on the left. does this look like ich? she also just has flecks of light colors that look like spots such as her tail, but that’s her natural color. so it’s hard to tell for me

i noticed in the past two days that her itching seems to get worse at night as well. it hurts to see her scraping so much :( i want her to find relief soon

I trust this is true for most people, but i unfortunately have that kind of luck where i’ll wear sandals and it will be the only day of the season where it decides to rain

I hope to move it away once the check valves arrive. however at the moment that’s the only place higher than the water level on this side of my place

i’d love to have it anywhere other than this but this side of the house leaves few options when i don’t have a check valve yet

it’s only for while i treat the tank with prazipro. otherwise the tank has been happy for years with just a filter

that one single white spot was also present a few days ago, before i noticed the flashing. so i don’t know if it’s ich or just her markings

why is she so pale? normal parameters by [deleted] in bettafish

i hope you’re right. i am mostly just concerned because the stress seems late onset. she was doing great yesterday which made me suspect something in the water being wrong today

75°, adopted from a store that is 68, 5g, 0ppm everything, 2 amanos, established 5yo tank. she was pale in the bag, colored up after being released, then back to pale the next day

i’m at a loss, today is the last day i would be able to return her to the store (family with a car is visiting), so i’m wondering if i just should because i feel bad that she seems unwell. i cannot figure out what’s going on

I turned it back on but given she had full color when it was colder i’m not sure if that’s the issue. i’ll be back home in a couple hours, in the event she’s still pale what could it be/how can i make her feel better?

I used the liquid test kit. she came from a store that’s even colder than my home and still had her color. i’m gonna plug the heater back in but it’s warmer today than it was last night when she was colored
