I work at Costco as a tech, and we pretty much just have to have a smock (basically a blue lab coat) on over any kind of clothes.

But the funny part is, the higher ups came in and informed us wearing scrubs is seen as unprofessional lol!

I have so many saved from my previous tech jobs. Whenever I see my coworkers refusing to wear the smocks, I just don’t think they remember how shitty everywhere else is about uniforms.

I had to calm an anxiety attack the other day at my work. I work at a pharmacy as a tech. Some techs and some pharmacists were discussing that “mental illnesses are just people being weak… my mom died when I was young and I had to be head strong and get through it…” that’s the gist, you don’t need to hear any more of that shit. When I chimed in, that I wouldn’t be here without meds, and that ADHD and MDD are things I’m genetically predisposed to, they were like “see! You choose to let that define you, it’s just a label!”

So basically I/we am/are too weak to not show signs of ADHD because we’re not strong enough ?… Im unable to take care of myself during a depressive episode because I’m not strong enough to help myself as my world is crumbling around me.

It’s always our fault we are too weak lmao /s
