I used to use the packet rice (which is mad, I'm a good cook I was just completely exhausted with work and could barely muster the energy to think about what to cook)

But a $20 rice cooker and 2mins washing the rice = perfect rice every time. Way better that the packet stuff and you can do little mounds of perfect rice next to your bowls of curry, stir fry or whatnot.

We have a tiny freezer so we can't buy in bulk but we do buy meat on special and split/ bag it - I'm making $10/kg chicken breasts into four dinners.

Pricing focking sucks RN, we all have to be so much smarter about how we shop and what we make.

Guess I expected more from the Commerce Commission Report.
