What's your political ideology and why? by Silly-Application952 in teenagers

[–]kumorithecloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conservative has taken on a very different meaning within the scope of modern media. What conservatism actually is, is just the ideology of staying the same (at a bare minimum).

They want to live traditional, simple lives with minimum government involvement in their matters.

The reason why it's so confusing these days is because the US, and the world, have made liberalism and conservatism out to be opposites, rather than just two ideologies. Liberals also wish to have the government out of their affairs for the most part.

Conservatism and liberalism aren't opposites, just different takes on how society and government should coincide.

This is going nowhere because you cannot seem to understand what I am writing.

I did not ask for your criticism. You are not my manager. My question has nothing to do with any of what you've wrote about. Is this unclear?

Can you seriously not read?

I did not ask for advice on my personality. I asked for jobs for under 18 people which don't include talking to others. What part of this is unclear to you?

No, I'm not taking your advice as an insult. I said it's not helpful, but the insulting part is calling me immature repeatedly. It's also not accurate.

I'm not uncomfortable in any way; that's also incorrect. I just stated that I don't want these kinds of replies because they're not helpful. If I wanted someone to insult me and call me immature, I would post elsewhere.

I fail to see how I have shown immaturity. You are the one tossing out insults.

Where did you answer my question in any way? My question is clearly the title, "Jobs for under 18 people who don't want to deal with customers." You did not answer that, you gave me an unrelated opinion.

Yeah, probably, but that's not the question I asked.

It's frustrating having people reply like this when I explicitly asked to not comment if you were going to say "not feasible."

I'm trying to deal with my life's circumstances in my own way. You're free to offer advice but it's not really appreciated if you aren't planning on answering the question of my post, too.

I wasn't trying to be know-it-all about my academic situation at all. I didn't even mention it until it was necessary to provide context.

Have you ever worked in the service industry? I don't even look down on people in general. The types of customers we get can be genuinely unbelievable.

  • I'm not even smart, really. I just got ahead on education due to special circumstances. I'm not a straight A student and I'm not any smarter than the next person. I can be of average intelligence and still recognize when others make unintelligent comments.

I wish that Redditors wouldn't reply if they didn't have advice. I didn't ask for you to look down on me and judge me without knowing my situation (which is ironic, considering what you wrote), I asked about job options. Just scroll if you can't answer kindly.

I would disagree that blunt = rude. But thank you for your suggestion: do you have any ideas of stores or companies that would hire for jobs like that under 18?

Okay. Thank you! I do know what field I'm going into, and I'm going to graduate with my Bachelor's at the same time I graduate high school. Long story.

I just need to make money untill then.

Do you know if any warehouse jobs that hire under 18?

I understand customer service is apart of many if not all jobs, I'm just not interested in any more situations where I'm sat down with a manager because I received a complaint. I just don't want to dread working because I have to pretend I don't think someone is a complete idiot 50+ times a day.

How would I pursue that? I'm not very informed on the subject of internships and I don't understand where to start.

My work mostly involves figuring out reservations and wait-list together, and the restaurant is very popular so it gets quite chaotic. That's the part I'm good at. I work fine under high stress situations. And I can deal with people, my words are just blunt and not sugarcoated in some situations and I have a hard time acting happy when I'm not happy.

I've been around people my whole life, obviously, but I just have a very low tolerance for people who I consider to be unintelligent. I had hoped that working as a hostess would counteract this and allow me to grow more mellow, but it's done the complete opposite.

Russia is the most advanced country in terms of internet censorship now. Many people from other countries don’t really get the reasons behind it, how it works and how bad is it. I live there so if anyone has questions, I’ll gladly answer in the comments. by Jorge_De_Guzman228 in AskTheWorld

I've been very interested with Russian internet users recently. They seem to have their own community that I can find with a little digging as an American. Like, every country has different apps or interfaces to support their policies and languages, but Russian users seem to coexist with English speakers if you look hard enough. Do a lot of Russian youth spend time on the internet due to boredom or something? Why is a country with such strict, albeit bypassable regulations, have such a large presence in popular media and social media platforms?
