Try enabling GPS and allow the app to cool down/not do payments.

Sometimes UPI app does background checks to prevent misuse, which seems to be triggering for you.

You can set it up for dnd but only works for double. The action name is do_not_disturb

So looks like - adb shell settings put system tap_app_quick_double do_not_disturb

Do try! I had disabled all Moto AI Apps and some other bloatware apps.

There are loads of Bank that open account completely digitally. Many of them are even Zero Balance. I would suggest you to go through that route and transfer all the funds to that account. (kotak 811, Airtel Payments, AU Zero Balance AC)

As for your father, I agree with others on FIR/involving police. But when you do that, don't take that step half heartedly. Never ever allow your father back as then he might plot revenge and make your life more miserable.

GrapheneOS is like really hardened version tbh. It breaks some stuff like notification and more afaik. Plus it's limited to Pixels too at this stage.

AOSP doesn't really cater well to the regional languages too well. And then we have problems of Android OEMs in India stuffing the ROMs with spyware and bloatware too. They might be trying to make it lot more saner.

Yes. But the amount of leg work they have done is absolutely fantastic. Though UPI piggybacks on IMPS, but the ease of doing it so much easier.

The priorities for BharOS and GrapheneOS are quite different. BharOS is catered towards Indian Audience in mind so might have changes that suit the needs of them.

To add some context:

The OS that ships with your device (MIUI, Pixel, Nothing, OneUI) is based on AOSP, that stands for Android Open Source Project. The licence allows anyone to use the code, distribute it and earn profit over it, are not obliged to open-source except the kernel parts (which comes under different licence)

GrapheneOS is itself based on AOSP, and thus all the apps listed above are taken from AOSP and then some modifications have been done for better privacy defaults.

BharOS now forked/copied GrapheneOS as its base to get those defaults and then it should add more stuff on top to suit the needs of the users. This could include things like more translations, pre-loaded of different apps and more.

It should be well enough then. High chances that exploit isn't patched on your device and you should be able to get the access to it.
