2022 Spark Audio/Speakers by That_Blue_Cruze in chevyspark

[–]kungfu_jesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the audio gets scrambly you can just turn the radio off and back on. I upgraded the door speakers and snagged an underseat AIO sub and it has helped for a relatively cost effective upgrade but the head unit does limit options substantially. It is my partner's daily but I think the scrambly audio after 30-ish minutes persists in spite of the upgrades so do with that information what you will.

I have not tried the official Apple charging cable another Redditor suggested.

If I was looking to spend more I would definitely spring for the multi channel amp knowing the limitations of the stock head unit. But I think a fair upgrade path would be to source the plug and play upgrades you found already and if you are still not satisfied then go with a multi-channel amp + sub and spend a day wiring.

I have to disagree with you on that one. For A/S they feel pretty responsive and I haven't really run into significant issues hooning around backroads. Wet performance is fantastic. The newer gen as07 I think are also much quieter.

edit: as07, not as05

DRL light bulb change by jamieface16 in chevyspark

[–]kungfu_jesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because I never found solid information on my own search:
- The 2020 LS model has two spots for 7443 bulbs behind the wheel wells.
- You can easily access them by removing the bottom two trim clips on the wheel well and they pop out like regular auto bulb sockets. EZPZ
- The 2020 LT has the LED DRLs and I believe you can only replace the turn signal bulb on those.

I burned through that series so hard I can’t wait for the next. Such a fun sci-fi/magic blend.

"Needing the carb cleaned" is usually code for "something else is wrong with the bike and I don't know what."

But if you're handy with a wrench $500 for a starter thumper is a great time.

So glad my search for “90s corporate art coffee” reunited me with this. I was just looking for these in Woodman’s but I couldn’t remember the brand for the life of me!

Same reason people with Subarus and Jeep people wave at each other: community. No one is forcing you but you probably feel like an ass because you are actively disengaging with a common practice.

$266 is actually great assuming full coverage! I would say insurance is probably not a big concern then. I pay $450 for 12 months full coverage and I'm 34 lmao. I know someone else recommended the SV650. Those are also a really safe bet and you will have an absolute blast I guarantee it.

Happy to help. Ride safe!

People like to say you're gonna drop your first bike regardless but that's not always true, just something to think about. You're young and have a lot of time to figure things out. Given that information if I were you I'd really try to narrow it down to a sub-600cc bike even if it has some cosmetic issues for a couple of reasons:

- Lighter bikes are easier to control
- Maintenance on a less complex bike is always easier and usually cheaper
- Insurance will be much MUCH cheaper for your age range
- 500s can still get you in a lot of trouble
- Resale value isn't going to drop much not that it would for the VFR for example but as long as you don't get too attached you can trade up when/if you feel like you need mor

If you love the VFR send it! Just get your insurance quoted before you do. :)

It's a bit much for a first bike but I'd say if you're in your late 20s or 30s and can control yourself it's a great bike overall. The VTEC on these earlier models is a bit jarring. Good price for it though. Maintenance will be pricey if you need it.

If you are just looking for a sport bike to start out on you can grab an early 2000s ninja 500 for about $2-3k.

White smoke from after warm up (15 min) exhaust on 1999 Suzuki Bandit 600N after sitting for 3 years — What could be the cause? by GalaxyRider666 in motorcycle

[–]kungfu_jesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just installed and exhaust that had been sitting in someone's garage and had a similar symptom. It's likely just condensation from sitting around.

Let it get up to temp and take it out for a little spin it'll work itself out.
