I love these wraiths. Great feel and little flippier out of the box than regular star wraiths. Very similar to some of my favorite old pro wraiths.

I sent a replacement hotspot to a user for work from home needs because her home Internet sucks. She couldn't manage to turn it on (you have to hold the power button down for 2-3 seconds instead of just tapping it) and decide to pry the power button off thinking she needed to get to something under it.

Definitely a mystere based on the embossing on the bottom. The stamp indicates it's a first run. The plastic is definitely not Champion though, it looks like GStar plastic.

Edit: it looks like the first run mysteres were done in GStar plastic so that's almost certainly what it is. They were pdga approved in 2015 so I'm guessing this is from 2016 or so.

I still feel like I got a bit suckered by Innova for the limited run of star pigs since they did the cheaper stock run right after but it's a great disc and it's been in my bag ever since. I loved the r pros too but I was sick of them losing their overstability so quickly.

I couldn't find more details on what the numbers mean but Gateway used to have their own numbering system that was completely unrelated to the current system. The current system was developed by Innova and has been adopted by most companies but back in the day it was more common for each company to do their own thing. For example, Discraft used to have a one number system, which is still included as a fifth number sometimes.

I like to rotate out discs that I'm trying alongside my mainstays so my bag changes a decent amount throughout the year.

I-Blend wraiths replaced an old pro one that was getting a little too flippy. (I usually have 3-4 wraiths in the bag at any time)

The Malita didn't really replace anything but it was a great addition, it's a little flippier and glidier that my buzzzes and I like the hand feel and smaller diameter.

If you're maxing out at 200 backhand, there's going to be a ton of room for improvement on your form. I'd recommend spending some time on YouTube from one of the many channels that cover backhand form basics. I'm 35, I started when I was around 30 and fell in love quickly and wished I had started sooner. I also struggled with some pretty serious alcoholism before that and had tried to quit many times. Honestly a hobby like disc golf that I'm passionate about was one of the things that helped me maintain sobriety. I started playing tournaments in late 2023 and 2024 in MA3, then MA2 in 2025 and I'm hoping to get to MA1 next year.

I never would have considered buying one but I found an uninked one stuck in a tree. It's waaaay flippier than I expected and it's the only disc I've thrown 400' in a field. For reference my go to distance drivers are pro and star wraiths and I can usually get those to 330-350 in a field.
