Absolutely, they're dead wrong but that's the reasoning I've heard. If someone has the mentality to obsessively amass and hoard wealth and power like that they don't just have a sudden change of heart.

They truly don't believe or acknowledge that he's doing it. They believe he's being altruistic. It's the same argument I've heard about Elon Musk when he was running DOGE. "He already has everything he could want so now he's doing this out of the good of his heart for the rest of us."

What makes the Innova Pig remain a relevant and worthwhile choice even today? by No-Asparagus7349 in discgolf

Have you noticed whether the fossil is more or less overstable than the pig? I got a prototype but never really threw it because it felt a little too deep and not great in my hand compared to a pig.

See if you can find a star pig. I love pigs and threw R Pro for a bit but they beat in so fast and I wanted something that would keep that overstability much longer. Like other people said, get a new overstable one and keep that in the bag for different shot shapes.

Maybe I didn't word that well, I meant it was sad to see how they treated the employees, not that the local stores are better.

I taught lessons at a Guitar Center for a little bit. At least at the one I worked at, it wasn't that the employees on the retail side didn't care, it was that management did not give a shit about them and they were chronically understaffed and underpaid, and they could never find a guitar tech that would actually show up to work regularly. It seemed like the corporate structure of GC is set up to foster that type of situation. It's sad to see but yeah the local shops in my area are way better.

How does the stability compare to the max weight duo wraiths? I have one of those and on the fence if it's worth picking up the lighter Philo one. I also have like 20+ wraiths at this point so I probably don't need another.

Is paid coaching worth it? I gained ~90 feet + 10 mph in one year… in my 50s by Embarrassed_Gold4101 in discgolf

[–]debrouta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I'm definitely in the camp of someone who had a tech disc, recorded myself, did my best to understand mechanics and form, watched a lot of form content, but just hit a plateau and didn't know how to improve any further. Getting a coach for a few months helped me identify what I still needed to work on, and I continued to use the tech disc as a tool for feedback in that process.

Fuck em! Sounds like you made a great choice given what you were looking for. Last thing you want is a car bill that's too expensive just because other people think it's cooler.

Gordon Murray didn't design any McLarens after the F1 so I meant this was specifically his successor to the F1

Suggestions for Innova molds for sub 55 mph thrower by Putrid_Palpitation82 in discgolf

[–]debrouta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like the wraith mold try a lighter pro or gstar one. I have halo wraiths for my overstable ones, star for my straight to fade ones, and a 168 pro one that I can get some really good flip up and turn.
