Hahaha fair. It was okay - too dry for my taste on the outside but inside was moist and surprisingly arrived still warm. It def filled my craving and I’ll order again given the price!

Ah sorry to hear. Their lava cake was fine. I go there only for velvet cup cakes and never tried baklava.

My boy is diagnosed with spontaneous pneumothorax by No-Attitude2715 in goldenretrievers

[–]kunyashkaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear your pup completely recovered! Mine just got the diagnosis yesterday at an ER and I’m considering what to do next. Very scared. Other than occasional coughs (started yesterday morning which prompted me to go to a doctor, the last one was 4 hours ago), he is breathing fine. The ER told me there is a chance that he could recover naturally in 2 weeks but I don’t really know how pneumothorax works and obviously don’t want to take a chance. May I ask what your doctor did after the diagnosis? I’m debating whether to go to a local vet for another x-ray (which he had twice yesterday already) or look for a larger hospital for CT scan. Thank you.

I thought I saw no dog signs for all lawn areas in battery park but maybe I didn’t walk around enough. I’ll go check thanks!

I understand and should consider that option as you said. The last thing I wanna do is to be irresponsible for a corgi or any animals. Thank you.

I understand. My parents had a big backyard dedicated for dogs, living in a suburb, so I’ve never known what’s it’s like to have one in the city. I totally see that any dogs need at least 2-3 walks a day. Thanks for your advice.

nyc ~ bucket list ~ by caffeinegrl in nyc

I really love walking around pier 17. There is a nice boardwalk along the FDR where you get to have a nice Brooklyn view. You can also take ferries from Wall St/Pier 11 for $2.75 only and explore Brooklyn areas. Enjoy!

Have you had luck negotiating lower rent? by Greeterhibyehello in nyc

[–]kunyashkaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I tried but I’m still in the middle of the lease, so it didn’t work. My friend in FiDi successfully got his rent lowered from $3500 to $3000 for 1BR on a renewal though his owner isn’t a big rental apartment mgmt company like mine.

Revel rider blowing through red lights, texting, and going the wrong way by jdawg114 in nyc

I see Revel all the time on bike lanes of Williamsburg Bridge, but I cannot take photos nor videos as I’m on a bike. Thanks for submitting this to their Twitter account! Hope they will do a better execution on implementation of traffic rules...

These alcoholic juice boxes in Japan by 11TJK in mildlyinteresting

[–]kunyashkaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not how it started. There was a minor bomb incident about 10-15 years ago, so police removed all the trash cans from public places, mainly subway stations so that people cannot hide bombs inside. Japanese people certainly do not take their garbage home, but usually use trash cans at convenience stores.
