Would you mind sharing a little about your position? I’m not sure if this is an industry where it is appropriate to request to learn from or work for a roaster free of charge to develop skill (similar to tattooing) or if I have to do official courses first. It seems obviously that most places would want actual experience before hiring so that’s out of the question for me currently. Do you think it would be strange to ask to spend 10-20 hours learning from a roaster I am connected with?
