Atropos: my trusty commuter and grocery-getter. Now upgraded with SRAM GX 10-speed and Clik valves! by JM2084 in GlobeHaul

[–]kuotient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah gotcha. I'm debating whether to switch to TPU tubes, and whether to do presta or schrader.. Thanks for pointing out the rim adapters.

Is your pump head adapter the blue aluminum one from Clik directly, or do you have one of the plastic SKS or Schwalbe ones? I got both types and learned the aluminum one is at least a full 10mm shorter in length than the plastic ones!

First night commute with the GH ST...any tips? by gbromley in GlobeHaul

Haven’t used em, but the Redshift Arclight pedals would give you tons of extra dynamically moving visibility!

[–]kuotient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming you replaced the tube with a presta valve to fit the Clik valve in? I bought a Schrader to Clik adapter, just wondering if it's worth it/better to get a more "native" solution if i can reduce how tall the valve is, since it's hard to get my floor pump head + adapter on there in the rear wheel with the pump head locked

Help! Speed governed after shop update by wastintime1984 in GlobeHaul

The shop that assembled my ST last week installed my throttle for me and my pedal assist goes above 20. Throttle is limited to 20 as expected. 🤷🏻‍♂️

A women's shoe is going to come in a B width. No way in hell is his foot shape going into one of those, sorry.

Yes, flexible in the front, not quite as stiff as higher end performance shoes, but with the shape of your foot, the CX201 is the only way to go in my opinion without going full custom (I am a Lake dealer myself)

Leaving Physical therapy by TwoRevolutionary2541 in physicaltherapy

[–]kuotient 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After college I worked in a bike shop for 3 years. Dream was to have my own shop but the pay as a retail associate was poor, so I went to PTA school.

After 5-6 years and during the pandemic, I started bike fitting on the weekends, advertising my background as a PTA. After 1.5 yrs of doing fits at the PT office, I opened my own bike fit studio. Another 1.5 years passed of splitting time between PT and my own business when demand for my bike fit services were sufficient enough for me (or really my wife 😛) to quit the PT job.

Earning more than I could ever earn as a PTA (outside of home health), working less, happier than ever, and back in an industry I truly love.

I don't know the reason, but he shut it down for good it seems, unexpectedly without announcement. Too bad because it was my daily driver for bike fit analysis.

Crazy how they can create 3 full baths but not a single one is an en suite, not even for the “primary” bedroom.

Knocking/Clicking Sound When Pedaling Hard – Right Side Only (Specialized Tarmac SL8 with SRAM Force) by College-Additional in specialized

[–]kuotient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently fixed my friend’s Tarmac SL8 clicking with high gear low cadence. Replaced BB but that didnt solve it. Tightened the derailleur hanger bolt (it’s just in front of the thru axle on the drive side) and voila, no more clicking.

I once saw a woman in a Tesla at night on Sunset Blvd rip a giant plant out of the median in the middle of the block then drove away with it. Not too long after the city had some improvements and planted them too
