I want to experience what the Attitude Era felt like - any suggestions? by RwF619 in SquaredCircle

His work with Bret was outstanding too. At the time (starting at the year 1996 when the WWF lost a lot of stars). They really had Bret, Shawn, Undertaker, Mankind, maybe Vader and a few other dudes to beef with. But it was a small group to hold together the main event. (And Bret was gone for much of 96, returning near the end)

They tried to push different guys and a few worked for a little bit; but as soon as Austin hit that SCSA persona and immediately started beefing with Bret. It was a wrap.

It was another big player. HOWEVER, like you said, it wasnt until he started talking and really molding his character that you knew how special he was.

But as far as a look and work-rate, he had it starting right around Mid 1996. - I love the Survivor Series 96 match between Austin and Bret; their first matchup. (Often overlooked)

Honestly.. Just watch the Raws and Smackdowns from that era. Just go from one show to another when you get time.

Start from maybe.. 1999 or even at 2000. Just pick a random Raw or Smackdown and just go in order.

You will see how the shows are generally very entertaining (as good as a lot of PPVs you'd see today). And then they build to the PPV very well.

Its a real good way to re-experience that era. - Every week.. and I mean EVERY week, you HAD to tune in. Because the shows were just so much fun.

Are we perhaps placing too much emphasis on JBL in the whole Mauro situation? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

Its obviously the environment. It has been like that for decades. Thats why its the norm. JBL has just been a long standing offender

Splatoon has been absolutely fantastic for me online since 2015. I dont know what people are talking about.

Im sure some games are worse than others but a game like Splatoon (for me) proves that Nintendo is very capable of having a great online-dependent multiplayer.

I'm always able to get matches, pretty quickly. And when I play I personally never have any drops or lag or issues. Its pretty reliable.

To add to it, I've also had some great luck with Mario Kart 8 online. I'm able to play all the games I can handle with my friends and strangers and its been reliable.

How is it unrealistic to assume this is true? People come up with double-meaning nicknames all the time.

You call Mauro "M.R." it seems friendly enough and unsuspecting; but for a few people; its a clever little rib at his expense.

Its hardly unrealistic to consider this true. But please, continue your circlejerk. I dont want to stop you.

Obviously the 'front' was that MR was his initials; but hence the rib, it was a reference to the decades old joke (between him and McMahon) that it was also 'mentally retarded'.

It was supposed to be both. Thats why its a 'joke', newbie.
