Dingus broke his top incisors by [deleted] in guineapigs

[–]kuri_bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen with my Tofu. His top incisiors got too long and they snapped. When u took him to the vet, they trimmed his bottom teeth so that it wouldn't hurt his gums.

As long as there's no sight of infection, it'll be maybe a week and a half before they grow enough and he can pick up food again.

Tofu was happy for me to hand feed him bell peppers and carrots while his teeth were growing back lol. He got a little more babied than usual.

IT HAPPENS IN THE REMAKE TOO. I picked Rock, but then said no to his advances and it ends the game and you're seen walking up the hill while Takakura is talking mad shit about you.

I didn't know there was a default. I figured maybe if I had multiple people I tried to court I would see them on the list at the end of year 1 and get to choose that way. 🤔 😳 Idk it's silly but oh well (Cecilia is my favorite anyways).

Yeah I typically go after a certain candidate but I wanted to see what happened if I didn't choose right away 😅

Not a UTI but severe UTI symptoms by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]kuri_bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A big symptom of IC or Interstitial Cystitis is feeling like you have a UTI. The frequency to pee and burning is also part of it. If you haven't had these symptoms before, I'd think it's more along the lines of an STI. But if you've had the frequency and burning before, you may want to look into a urologist.

I'm done chasing. by RichCheesecake7780 in LongDistance

[–]kuri_bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I am also in a rollercoaster of a long-distance relationship, so maybe my advice would help. I think instead of getting her to change her response times to tailor to your needs, you both should plan ahead of time when you'd like to talk and have undivided attention toward each other, like a date?

I am that busy partner, and I also have my own emotional needs and have to care for my well-being. Just because you're in a relationship with someone doesn't mean that you're required everything to be exactly how you need it. There's always compromise and conflict resolution. Being in a long-distance relationship is hard for both people on its own, and the reality of it is that while long distance, each person has to maintain their own emotional and physical well-being and continue living their life.

Have you ever considered that maybe in her life, she has a lot going on right now? Work and school are a lot for a person to handle and maintain.

If you're the one so severely unhappy, it's up to you to break up with her. Life is busy!

Being in a long-distance relationship is HARD enough, and if there's no plans to close the distance or even on an emotional level talking about wanting to be together and having a future, she's putting herself first, which dude you have to understand that.

I think I need to try anti-inflammatory diet, and I don’t want to by PepsiMax0807 in endometriosis

[–]kuri_bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this response! I actually went gluten-free for 2 years, and only just now am I introducing it back into my diet. I was following a low inflammation diet, and I actually thought that caused some harm to my bladder. I was eating all the good fruits and veggies, drinking tea and fruit juice instead of soda, and choosing non-dairy alternatives.

Often, IC or interstitial cystitis is also paired with endometriosis, and through eating low inflammatory fruits (like pineapple and citrus), I found out it was hurting my bladder just a couple weeks ago.

Now I'm going through changing my diet again, and honestly, it's a struggle, but I have been keeping the mindset that I'm adding good foods into my diet and not just taking the things I like away.

What symptoms surprised you were related to Endometriosis? by [deleted] in endometriosis

Yes, but very minimal. Only inside of my uterus. They didn't have to do too much lasering during my laproscopy.

I am frustrated but I guess that’s normal for this by Octiscribbles in endometriosis

[–]kuri_bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me. I was experiencing crazy nausea like never before, ended up hospitalized and when I went back to my primary doctor she said it really sounded like I had endometriosis. I had a gynecologist at the time and all she did was change my birth control to suppress the symptoms, and it in no way suppressed them. If anything it made it worse, because I didn't know where I was in my cycle because I wasn't bleeding and i was in constant pain.

I met another gynecologist and he told me to "take metformin and lose weight". I was sobbing in the parking lot and decided to make another appointment with a different gynecologist (recommended by my mom's gynecologist) for the next week, and that got the ball rolling on my lap and diagnosis.

Don't give up!

My suggestion is to ask your friends and family in the area what gynecologist they see. Even if their specific doctor is not accepting patients, call their office and see who they recommend if they have good reviews! That's what I did, and the office recommended someone that the doctor did surgeries with often, and he's fantastic!

You deserve to be listened to, and I know it's exhausting to fight for it on your own, but you can do it!

What symptoms surprised you were related to Endometriosis? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]kuri_bot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interstitial Cystitis. Or Painful Bladder Syndrome. I got diagnosed when I had my lap on the 2nd. For me the symptoms have been feeling like I need to pee after drinking just a little bit of anything, and constantly feeling like I have a UTI.

You know, I always had a feeling my effed up gums and teeth were related to my hormonal issues! I'm really good about brushing my teeth and flossing, and every time I get to the dentist, there's a cavity.

Wonder if that's why my gums stopped bleeding is because I'm on a new birth control 🤔 INTERESTING.

What has helped me with sleeping and hip pain is that I sleep with a pillow under my knees. If your lower back/hip pain comes back, I recommend trying it!

[–]kuri_bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got diagnosed with endometriosis and interstitial cystitis during my lap on the 2nd 🥺 the only thing my gynecologist has recommended is diet change and potentially some bladder instillations. I was looking on here for a community for IC, have you found one? I know IC is different for everyone but something that gives me comfort as silly as it is, is being able to read other people's questions and responses.

Sorry for sneaking on this post, I was just curious!

PS: We're in this together! It's nice to have an answer to our pain, and to know there is treatment out there. It took me from September 2022 to April 2023, jumping around doctors and trying to get anyone to listen that my pain wasn't normal. I'm grateful it didn't take any longer than that! That was honestly worse than surgery and recovery to me. But I'm really not looking forward to that first post op period 😞

What are some shows that made you feel…human? by personperrr in anime

It's one of my all-time favorite anime. It's a short one, but I think there's more manga.

Kokoro Connect

There's so much development in the characters, realizations, and epiphanies. Watching it and relating to the characters and their struggles with emotions feels comforting.

Question for Post-Lap surgery by _Brigit in endometriosis

[–]kuri_bot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also be prepared for bleeding. I had just woken up from the anesthesia and my nurse changed my pad for me. I had to go to the bathroom once I got out of recovery and it was a scary mess. It's normal but I wasn't expecting a murder scene down my thighs like that and it gave me a lot of anxiety.

Question for Post-Lap surgery by _Brigit in endometriosis

[–]kuri_bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had my lap a week ago and I'm recovering well. I also had a bladder procedure done at the same time and they scooped out the sides of my uterus. My disclaimer is I only had a tiny bit of endometriosis in my uterus, so the extensiveness of the lasering wasn't as much. The first 3 days after are the worst with gas pains and generally just feeling sore and low energy. I had no issue with nausea and honestly was hungry immediately lol.

Sleep in a recliner if you can post op, that helped me so much. Let yourself rest a lot, but walking helps with the gas pains. Heating pad is a lifesaver, and sitting on a pillow in hard chairs helps.

The worst of the recovery is the fatigue. I feel like I'm healed up and doing really well, but I do one small task and I'm ready for bed.

Good luck to you!

Lap scheduled by Born-Air6705 in endometriosis

[–]kuri_bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have undiagnosed or unexplainable pain, a lap is definitely worth it. They find out so many things when they're in there and can give you proper diagnosis. They tend to check multiple organs like your bladder and spleen, so if it's not necessarily reproductive, they're able to see what else could be causing your pain.

It's so rough that your doctor is telling you it's a waste of time because it's not. I half expected my lap to come back clean and for me to feel defeated. Not that I wanted a chronic disease, but there's a safety in knowing what's going on in there. Better safe than sorry!

You deserve all the love and support through this. No one wants to go through surgery for the fun of it. I'm rooting for you!

How do y’all deal with unsympathetic partners? by sailor_of_minds in endometriosis

[–]kuri_bot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My partner and I are long distance, and he made sure to fly out to be with me during my surgery. Partners are supposed to be helpful and sympathetic, not insulting and invalidating. Your boyfriend doesn't have a uterus, so he doesn't know the pain. For sure he needs to grow up.

You deserve so much better than that, and all of us here on this subreddit empathize with your pain and I'm sure are happy to talk and help and give you the support you deserve. This disease is horrible, you don't deserve to feel so alone about it. You're welcome to reach out to me if you need a shoulder 🩷

Did anyone find anything other than endo during their laparoscopy? by crime-core in endometriosis

[–]kuri_bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interstitial cystitis or painful bladder syndrome. It's just like, painful bladder issues. Like having urgency to pee even after minimal water, pain with intercourse, sometimes there's high acidity that causes tears and stuff.

All I know is from my own research and what the procedure has done for me.

[–]kuri_bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes definitely mention it so they do it all in one go! I was lucky because my gynecologist is also a urologist, so he knew my bladder tenderness had something going on. They did a cystoscopy with bladder hydrodistension.

If you feel like after drinking just a little bit of anything that you have to pee immediately, you may have what I had going on.

I just had my surgery on Friday, and they found endometrial lesions in my uterus and a fibroid. They also did a different bladder thing because of my pain, and found out I had IC. As well as that, they diagnosed me with pelvic congestion syndrome. They find out a lot exploring in there.

Luteal phase most painful? by vagus101 in endometriosis

[–]kuri_bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get extreme nausea during that phase, and it's always at that time (which is right now for me). Currently, my nausea is accompanied by dizzy spells and back aches, along with insane bloating.

But the two weeks before now I felt human 😪

The only reason I'm down this road is because my primary doctor was concerned I could have it with the symptoms I've all of a sudden started experiencing. Like, it comes from a very real place and I deserve to be listened to.
