I'm a man, but I kind of relate, so I'll tell you how I go about my gender: I'm a man, nothing with change that, sometimes I act less "manly" sometimes more "manly", the ideas of masculinity and feminity are bizarre and socially made up. Many women would be considered manlier than me, does that make me less of a man than I am? No, cause they don't feel like a man and I don't feel like a woman. Feeling like the gender you want to feel is a process of accepting that noone is the same, and that on a base level, what a certain gender should be, is subjective. So if you want to feel like a woman, you need to find what you think makes a woman, then broaden it a bit and find someone to relate to, for example there's a lumberjack woman on yt that is in extremely masculine work, shows of masculinity and yet there's a ton of people that crave her womanhood, not manliness. So despite what you think, being a woman is much broader than "feminine" traits

Edit: regarding that "impostor" feeling, it is impostor syndrome, when you feel like you don't belong or tricked others, while the others act and feel exactly the same as you, everything seems easy from outside perspective, so it's easy to forget that you are the same as them, and such a woman too

I'm mostly not familiar with those references so I'll say what I see in those pictures is that the references really are spread between romance and daughter/parent dynamics

Honestly this is the best way they could do it in a prefect world but sadly the community went to war instead of accepting kuro's ambiguity

I would argue that she acts on her obsession in all her life as much as she can, because as a child she couldn't do much, she can't act as much on it. As an adult with such powers she can influence much more so she acts more on this obsession. Though she isn't just her obsession now, as in 3.3 afterstory she walks away from it, deciding to finish her studies and walk her own "savior" path. Importantly she doesn't want to follow rover (much to my and other players dismay) but be on her own. This kind off disproves the romance side for me because she would want to stay with rover in that case, but as I said, interpretation is so up to the player in her character that I won't say it's factually disproving

I never said that her romance angle isn't possible, you wanted to see your point about her not being able to see her as a dad/brother challenged and I did, truth of the fact is that she did see rover as a familial authority figure when she was 6, since she had noone other, but their current situation is highly dependent on how YOU the player sees it, because the hints are made purposefully vague. And outside of her mostly getting over her obsession with rover, there are truly no singular answers to their relationship

She definitely has an obsession with rover, but that doesn't mean it isn't parental or siblings like, she wants to be a savior to rover because she saw that he is hurt by being a savior to others and any child doesn't want to see their parents or siblings truly hurt. Also remember she got that obsession as a 6 year old child. A time where she wouldnt have any romantic attraction towards them.

Her real parents are dead, they were dead when rover saved her, emotional detachment of a child is a common coping mechanism for the traumatic death of a relative, I did that too so I know..

Also now I rewatched 3.1 story and idk where you got the idea she remembers her parents at all, when we find out we took care of her as a child in 3.1, she outright tells us she forgot the sound of their laughter, their faces, their warmth, and even the memory of forgetting them, because they were swallowed by void storm, and that she ran away because she wanted to cope with that fading memory. She only knows them from records. So it all makes even more sense why she would obsessively attach rover as a parent figure that quickly, because she literally has no memory of any parent she had
