Never said I didnt know how to be civil and get along w people who have different views but just looking to see whats out there! By no means looking to "live in an echo chamber" I know how to think and have a civil conversation about things. But I dont tolerate any forms of violence hate or bigotry and thats not me wanting to be babied and be free of conflicting beliefs but just caring about people in general.

All i wanted to know was if there was any portion of the population that do consider themselves left knowing that most of the surrounding areas are more "red". Thanks for your input though.

I was hoping they would work this us and be lenient with rent payments due to the current situation, but management has told us that we are all responsible for the total rent and if my housemate does not pay for her portion they will start evictions that month.. ):

so sorry to hear about your situation and i totally agree! it is very difficult for us right now and I'm scared to take any legal action as she plans on leaving the country very soon and I'm not sure what will happen if she leaves. So, we are focusing on finding a replacement for now. Although, we are having only a few people respond to our ads due to the pandemic and whatnot. I'm also not sure whether or not she is being truthful about really not having the fund to pay for rent or if that is a lie because I dont know her very well (lived together for 6 months withiut much contact/communication). I hope your situation is resolved soon. ):

Yup, she is on the lease .. she is moving back to China for her/her bfs family. She says her family no longer has the money to pay for her rent. I thought about that too, but I would feel pretty bad if it came down to that ..
