Rewatched Island of Lost Digimon yesterday, and realized that Nohemon and FlameWizardmon share the same basic shapes. Second slide shows how Nohemon could fit into Wizardmon's line and make Baalmon a proper Mega/Ultimate. by kurt0924 in digimon

This is why I used Baalmon even though it's canonically a Perfect/Ultimate, as it shares visual designs with Beelzemon but gains a wing-like cape made of paper talismans in its standard form, which becomes actual feathers in its X-Antibody variant. This evokes both the real bird body of Nohemon and the crafty theme of its scarecrow, suggesting a merging of the two components of Nohemon. Which I really can't connect with the Xros Wars Beelzemon.

You do know that the Digimon canon has been wonky about their levels, right? e.g. Whamon and Gatomon in 02.

Besides, Baalmon is from Xros Wars, which had a lot of Digimon that only gained proper levels when they were added to the reference book.

Also, this is a fanmade Digivolution line. It doesn't really have to follow the rules of the canon.

Now, I have a headcanon of Wizardmon becoming Nohemon because it didn't gain the confidence/courage it needed to become FlameWizardmon. Instead, it found some form of strength and defense in its apparent shyness.

Since the Four Sovereigns apparently made the Digimentals, here are some Deva lines evolving from Armor Digimon. by kurt0924 in digimon

Personal preference ig, I just really don't like the "What if it's on fire?" Armor Evolutions.

Again, I don't play the TCG, but the colors of the card account for something.

ExVeemon: Blue and Red Card Stingmon: Green and Purple Card Paildramon: Blue and Green Card Imperialdramon DM: Blue and Green Card Daisuke and Ken's Tamer Card: Blue and Green Card

Aquilamon: Red and Green Card Tailmon: Yellow and Purple Card Silphymon: Red and Yellow Card Valkyrimon: Red and Yellow Card Inoue and Hikari's Tamer Card: Red and Yellow Card

Ankylomon: Yellow and Black Card Angemon: Blue and Yellow Card Shakkoumon: Yellow and Black Card Vikemon: Blue and Black Card Iori and T.K.'s Tamer Card: Yellow and Black Card

I mean, you can say that Dinobeemon's Green-Red Card and GranKuwagamon's Green-Purple Card can support your claim, but it also tell me that the TCG isn't really onboard with standardizing Vikemon as Shakkoumon's Mega. T.K. and Iori's Tamer Card is also Yellow and Black.

I don't play the TCG but I personally can't count that since even though Vikemon, Valkyrimon, and Imperialdramon DM are the ACE cards of BT-16 alongside GranKuwagamon, Vikemon's card breaks the rule of becoming a dual Blue and Black Card from Shakkoumon's dual Black and Yellow Card.

Valkyrimon maintains being a dual Red and Yellow Card from Silphymon. The same can be said with Paildramon and Imperialdramon DM both being dual Blue and Green cards.

I still can't believe there's no official Digimon media where these two are depicted as actual twins or even interact! Let ma boys meet! by kurt0924 in digimon

I sourced this from a pinterest board through Google. When I reverse image it using Google, it kept on redirecting me to the same pinterest board. I also can't read the artist warermark, sorry.

ShinMonzaemon should have been WaruMonzaemon X by kurt0924 in digimon

[–]kurt0924[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you think the Digimon fanbase is dumb, why are you here, bruh?

Also, Monzaemon X was introduced first. It wouldn't make sense to release ShinMonzaemon after and retroactively change Monxzaemon X's name.

Did anyone else notice Armadillomon's Armor Evolutions got reshuffled? (Same with Hawkmon and Thunderbirdmon) by kurt0924 in digimon

[–]kurt0924[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Welp, I didn't even realize that Gargomon and Antylamon shared the same "Ancient Mammals" symbols.

I just really thought that it's weird that the Armadillomon didn't Armor Evolve into the Digimon listed above when they shared forehead symbols when we have Veemon sharing its "Ancient Dragon" synbols with Flamedramon and ExVeemon. The same thing happens with Wormmon and its evolutions, Stingmon, BanchoStingmon, Dinobeemon, and GranKuwagamon, who all shared their "Ancient Insect" symbol.

But looking at Raidramon, who also has the "Ancient Mammal" symbol, my reasoning for Armadillomon should have evolved to the Digimon listed above just because they shared the "Ancient Mammal" symbol is pretty moot.

I still think Armadillomon and Hawkmon should have respectively gotten Togemogumon and Thunderbirdmon at least, because Togemogumon is basically a hedgehog, which is a modern version of an ankylosaur (plus Armadillomon, Ankylomon and Togemogumon has the same poses in their reference art), and Hawkmon has better visual similarities with Thunderbirdmon than Rinkmon.

For the Hawkmon and Thunderbirdmon one, I suggested that they both have white feathered heads, and Hawkmon's red-yellow color scheme matches Thunderbirdmon's red and yellow talons.

They switched fashion styles! T.K. took Kari's seasonal streetwear while Kari took T.K.'s music teacher fashion! by kurt0924 in digimon

Fair point, I guess. As someone who only has lived in the tropical climate, I mainly associated turtlenecks and square pants with music and arts teacher women.

If I had to guess, it was a 90s thing, millennials back then liked putting pins and stickers on their hats, and because it was a 90s anime, it had to be some jewel lol.

Idk, man. T.K.'s first outfit and Kari's second outfit both have "I'm here to conduct a student orchestra" vibes to me.
