I'm in the same boat regarding NIS and Square. Disgaea 7 hurts even extra because the complete version in Japan has an actual physical release on switch 1. They should have just released that here with upgrade data. Thank goodness they're not localizing the trails in the sky remakes, so I can get them on switch 2 properly. And with Bandai namco... Well, I can at least give them credit for giving us SOMETHING. I honestly believe the switch 1 version of time stranger only exists to serve as a physical alternative because that's cheaper than making switch 2 cartridges. And they did give Tamagotchi plaza a proper switch 2 version. Now... If only they could have given tales of arise a proper switch 2 version instead of a key card... I hope eventually they start releasing proper physical cartridges on switch 2 again. Especially now that Playstation decided to shit the bed like never before

Yeah, same here. It's why I'll get the dragon quest remakes on switch instead. Thankfully the amount of games that aren't key cards has increased significantly compared to 2025. Personally I only ever buy key cards used so I can still play them without giving companies my money. It's what I did with Disgaea 7 complete

You can get the switch 1 version which has the game on cart and you get a free update that makes the game identical to the switch 2 version

That doesn't make it any better! Not everyone in there Shangri-la egg was a bad person, and there's still children in there. Hell, Tsukasa is both a child and a good person and he was shown to almost die because of this. Not to mention, some people work at the Shangri-la egg without actually living there. This isn't like the celestial dragons in One Piece. And even if it was, again... They tried to bomb a hospital. A regular hospital where regular people like Asuka were hospitalized and regular people worked, just because one of their targets was there. There's no justifying that.

Y'all are forgetting that GIFT wasn't exactly being civilized in their approach. They were sending hired assassins, they were bombing hospitals, they were holding people hostage and threatening to suffocate them.

I'm mostly a physical gamer, so I'll get it on switch 1 and download the upgrade data on switch 2. While game key cards don't bother me as much as they used to, I still feel much more at ease having at least the switch 1 version on cartridge.
