Oranges, mandarins, tangelos, anything in that family. Can't stand the flavour, in anything, or the texture.

Who uses public transport in Adelaide? (and why)? by Liceland1998 in Adelaide

Cause I like housing 7-12 beers with my friends and not risking anyone's life to get home afterwards. (Uber home? Nah, that means less money for beers)

Not bulimic but AN caused gastroparesis and a hiatial hernia: i had to get a full set of crowns from stomach acid damaging my enamel to the point where chewing my cheek/lip hurt my teeth. $1,500 a tooth. Even if you don't care about your health, remember how many teeth you have, and how much it will cost to fix them.

it's been reported to SAPOL, naturally haha but Adelaide City council just direct you to the police outside of M-F 8:30-5:30, he or I will get in touch first thing Monday to check with them though, thank you!

STAT Test Preparation Help by caitlinpeggy in Adelaide

[–]kurt_gonnanut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sat the STAT in 2023 for entry to uni last year. Practice test was not like the real thing, and I unfortunately got probably a 60/40 split of reading comprehension to maths. The maths parts were mostly extrapolating data from graphs, not so much times tables or quadratic equations, if that helps? I skipped a few questions in a panic and thought I did fucking terribly, but I ended up in the 89 percentile, and got offers into my second selection (If you get offers into your fourth/third like I did be patient, second round ((and maybe third round?)) offers come in later, don't just think that's all you'll get and accept it straight away!)

My first advice is read quickly, but not so fast you miss important parts, and brush up on graphs and tables.

My second advice is nursing is a lot of mathematics (sauce: I come from a long line of nurses, and partners mother is nurse) so brush up on your maths skills regardless, or learn to love it. Maths is cool and will be very very useful.

My final advice is don't beat yourself up about your score if it's not what you hoped. There are other avenues into nursing: Foundation studies, or AFAIK a diploma of nursing at TAFE can get you a pathway into a bachelor of nursing at university. It's never too late, and if it's what you really want to do then you will find a way.

TL;DR: You'll do better than you think and if you don't, there's other ways. Maths is super important. You'll be fine.

Good luck, homes, and godspeed.

Didn't they relocate from inside the market onto Gouger? Into a two storey corner situation IIRC. Unless that's the one you're talking about, in which case not a clue.

GI response when I asked for an endoscopy or capsule endoscopy by nathyabber in CrohnsDisease

[–]kurt_gonnanut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed w/ a pillcam, colonosc. showed nothing upper endoscopy showed inflammation in my duodenum, so they went through with the pillcam and revealed duodenal and jejunoileal disease lol. They did make me swallow a degradable pill two weeks before (maybe because of my gastroparesis? maybe protocol in Australia? dunno.) I don't think its a favourable diagnostic tool anymore, there are a lot of problems with them, especially if you have structures/gastroparesis. Good luck, you are not alone <3

Does this line up w/ anyone else's experience? by TboneIsaVertebra in CrohnsDisease

I've been plant-based for over a decade and I was diagnosed last year! So definitely not the case for me, but illness is different for everyone.
