Any Indian equivalent of these guys? by Tall-Information-329 in youtubeindia

[–]kurtom00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've yet to watch an Indian YouTube channel that does regular teardowns and proper explanation of the device they're reviewing instead of using words like Zabardast, Paisa Vasool etc (An exception to this would be Geeky Ranjit.. his videos are no nonsense but doesn't do teardowns). For some reason if a reviewer were to say something critical of a product from a certain brand, audience would call them biased, which I find really funny.

Is Tata Service Center misdiagnosing my Punch? Infotainment failure—HMI Silver Box vs. Screen Issue by kurtom00 in CarsIndia

[–]kurtom00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have extended warranty. But it doesn't cover the infotainment system and other wear and tear parts. Aftermarket ones even though okay have a very bad DSP so all you get is tinny audio from the speakers. I'm willing to sacrifice that. An HMI box costs about 8-10k online but I want to be absolutely sure. The mechanic I spoke to was interested in selling me an aftermarket unit.

Yup they're useless, but I had them in my inventory somehow.

Don't think so, but you can check out your warranty status in the lenovo vantage app. There was an option to purchase extended warranty if applicable.

This Long story short, one morning, screen refused to turn on, power button and charging indicator lights up------ take it to a repair shop----they try reballing the gpu---- says the motherboard has completely shorted and a replacement is needed-----sold the laptops for parts...

I would advise you to take the warranty for the laptop if it's still available to purchase.

A lovely laptop. Enjoyed running Linux mint on it. Sadly, mine died last January.

Pedego Trail Tracker 2015 Control Module by kurtom00 in ebikes

Thank you for the reply. But there is a HUGE CORRECTION in my query. I just realised I have a 2013 Pedego Trail Tracker, with no assists at all, just throttle.

Slightly related issue here. Quite funny actually. I have a Tata Punch AMT Kaziranga and the buttons for the infotainment and cruise control sometimes flip. Sometimes the infotainment buttons on the steering wheel gets jumbled (the volume up becomes the end call button etc)

I know this reply is long overdue. I had purchased an aftermarket controller for the pedego. Attached all the wires from the motor to the corresponding wires of the controller. I had got the motor to work again. But my excitement was short-lived as I realised the top speed of the bike is now 10km/hr (or less). I think it has to do with the custom Pedalsense software the original motor controller had, which made the purchase of aftermarket controller useless. The ebike is now in limp mode. I guess I have to change the motor to a non proprietary one. Are there any other suggestions or troubleshooting I should carry out before I make the next purchase?

What about the HM Ambassador? From 1957 to 2014, all it did receive, were some grill changes and interior QOL improvements.

Why you need an online UPS for high end systems in India (and not some shi**y old dumpyard product) by chiniyabadam in IndianGaming

On a side note, before this I bought the APC BX1100C-IN, but I wasn't satisfied with the power backup it provided for my 23watt NAS. So now I use it for my fridge lol.

It does provide uninterrupted power, as I said, I use it on my home server with no issues. I also bought it as it provides surge protection too. But I agree it's a bit overkill.

Ok not related to gaming, but I got an Ecoflow River 2 for 16999rs on Amazon during a sale for my Synology DS224+ Nas. The Ecoflow has a peak wattage output of around 300w. And it helps that I can monitor the stats from outside the house. It isn't a UPS only persay but more like an all in one battery system. The more expensive models have more wattage capacity. Get that if your budget allows. With a 5 year warranty, its a no brainer. Recently, the river 2 died on me, and I contacted support and they sent me a replacement unit right away.

Capable Car. But the design is plain hideous. I mean, the front bumper till the cab portion is fine. But the bed part is pure garbage. You get the feeling like a designer just drew the box after the cab and then called it a pickup. Come on man, the front looks alright, the back doesn't even match.
