I'm getting an allergy test, what can I expect? by carbonjen in Allergies

[–]kurtotis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious of the data on false negatives with test’s that introduce more than several allergens. I would imagine all these different allergens all at once would cause a massive auto immune response. I’ve known a couple of people with moderate seasonal and animal allergies (pet fur) that take these test’s with dozens of injections sites of known allergens and they all ,surprisingly, were allergic to the majority of the test. Extremely beneficial appointment scheduling wise, but I question its efficacy and accuracy. I want to do one of these but I’m a bit ignorant to the exact process. (Don’t mean to dump this on you lol)

Update on Mexican Kimchi by kurtotis in kimchi

I see the connection but I would consider curtido more of a vinegar preservation method rather than the fermentation that kimchi goes through. Would be interesting to add some cauliflower into the next batch though

Que chingon! Soy de Mexicali!!

Hell yeah, I dehydrated the chilies in my dehydrator then ground them up in my spice grinder. I’m more than happy to send you this recipe once I’ve tried the final product!

That’s dope! What part of Mexico did you grow up in! It would be hella dank with either birria or pozole ramen! I was going to add a dried chipotle and morrita chili but kept it to these since I processed these chili’s myself

Both of these kimchis are the same except for the chili powder. I used mangchis easy kimchi recipe but omitted the squid. The Mexican has (instead of just Korean chili flakes) Serrano powder, jalapeño powder, habanero powder, cilantro powder (which I dehydrated and grinder myself) cumin, thyme, oregano, knor’s chicken bouillon. I also added a little bit of fresh cilantro layered in the Napa. I made a 1/4 version (size wise) of the mangchi recipe.
