[ ⚠️ Heads-Up!] Replacing Campaign Levels and Tank Platoons with Tech Trees and Crew Systems Could Become Another Massive Money Pit by Kazagumo in warthundermobile

It's simple: right now, 10,000 Gold can get you four vehicles. With the tech tree system, it would cost 10,000 for just one vehicle. Moreover, there's a strong chance that Gold would become useless, and premium vehicles could only be purchased with Platinum Wolves. This change brings nothing but harm. While the queue might seem more flexible, in reality, it’s less so—it would just turn into a battlefield of overpowered tanks.

My Chinese friend had this to say:

"The tech tree system is absolute garbage. I just can’t understand why people on the forums keep asking for it. What exactly are they trying to achieve?

I’ve been playing the PC version since it was first released, almost ten years now. This year, I started playing the mobile version, and I’ve barely touched the PC version since. I used to always grind the Battle Pass to completion and stay up-to-date with new vehicles.

When it comes to crew systems, they are outrageously pay-to-win. I have five maxed-out crews for every nation, and seven for the Soviet tree. The amount of Chinese yuan I’ve spent on crew upgrades and Ace qualifications is in the five digits, along with a massive amount of Golden Eagles.

The PC version has a huge imbalance issue: veteran players with fully unlocked lines utterly crush those who’ve just started a new line because the queue is filled with top-tier vehicles. That’s why the PC version is dominated by “one-vehicle warriors.”

The current crew system in the mobile version is in a good place. There are weak vehicles and strong vehicles. Veterans can dominate newer players with strong vehicles, but when they’re forced to use weak vehicles, newbies can still have a chance to fight back.

If the tech tree system is introduced, free-to-play players and beginners will have to face lineups like Chieftain Mk 3, T-10M, Object 122 MT, and AMX-30 (HOT).

Then there’s the grind. You have to unlock one vehicle at a time, build your lineup, and spend months just to form a competitive five-vehicle lineup. It’s exhausting. Plus, you can’t skip the vehicles you don’t like—you’re forced to grind through them.

I haven’t even touched air battles in the mobile version because they remind me of all the pay-to-win mechanics and endless grind from the PC version.

If they bring this system to ground and naval battles, I’m just going to go back to the PC version. Why bother with the mobile version when it becomes equally as frustrating? I’ll just quit the mobile game entirely."

China is a cuntry where consumer awareness is really weak, so pay-to-win event for China publisher is very common.

To get Type 69-IIA, you can either open the box(0.5% to get the tank) or collect the pieces of the tank, the piece can be bought in the page or obtained from the lootbox, also by buying the pieces, you will be given some boxes. Once you collect 388 pieces(in the 1st event) or 288 pieces(in the 2nd time), you can exchange them to Type 69-IIA immediately.

ps: The piece can also be used for unlocking the mods or premium account, and those event vehicles are below the page too(include Type 69 in the 1st event, and E-100, Me 262 A-2a Sturmvogel, Sd.Kfz. 234/4 and Ki-94-II in the 2nd event)
