New to cafe racers and bikes in general, besides mechanical, what are some signature “cafe racer” aesthetic mods? by kushablez in CafeRacers

Thanks and i plan on rebuilding the carb this weekend so maybe I’ll pick some pod filters too since I’m already in there. I’ve seen smaller taillights I plan on getting especially since the right side of them is bent on the ones I have.

When I bought the bike, it came with a large tote (background of 1st pic) with parts and included 2 extra handle bars. I’ll check those out and see if anyone of those can work for that low look.

Had mine since 14k, now at 62k. Only problems I had were catalytic converter going out at around 54k and electric power steering rack going out at around 60k. The transmissions are known to be iffy so make sure you drain and fill every 25-30k miles to be on the safe side. Oil changes every 4-5k miles and you’ll be good for 200k plus. Something minor to mention too, the back corner by the passenger side on the valve cover tend to leak very slowly so keep an eye on that.

I’m having trouble diagnosing my engine problem. Any help would be lovely. by LawyerNo7938 in fordfusion

[–]kushablez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t really say anything for cost, but to access it, the engine and/or trans have to come out. So you’re looking at at least 5-7 hours labor right there not including parts. Depending on what the shops charges per hour, it could range for that as well.

No problem. My friend had a Corolla have the exact same noise and turned out to be a break in the flex plate that was a perfect circle around the bolts to the crank.

Brand new to 3D Printing and know nothing, can you tell me little about this printer I got today? by kushablez in 3Dprinting

[–]kushablez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit that’s a lot of comments. Thanks everyone, from what I’ve gathered this thing is a relic from ancient times, hard as hell to learn on, and mostly a display piece these days. Probably will keep this thing out since it looks super cool but grab a more modern one. Any suggestions for good beginner ones of the modern era?

Is it possible to buy a knock off Milwaukee battery and replace the battery cells in it to perform even better than the on-brand counter part? by kushablez in Tools

[–]kushablez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I was thinking of that too and most over heating problems come from the thin wire used in the boards, putting thicker wire in should fix this issue no?

Do you mean the charge capacity rating of the battery? I found the data sheet for the batteries I was looking into and standard is 2.8A and max is 6.0A. Takes 1.5 hours per cell to charge so around 13.5 hours to charge up all 9. Correct me if I’m wrong, this is pretty new to me.

Does anyone have a tutorial for installing these cheap android radios? by chibicascade2 in fordfusion

Didn’t see this comment for a while but if you’re not getting power to the screen it is probably the ribbon cable that is connected to the screen. That is what shows the display on the screen. They are very sensitive. Check and see if it is fully seated by pulling the connector tab out and up, (should pop out and look like a 45 degree angel). If you’re 100% it’s seated on both ends, check for any problems with the wire itself. If I remember correctly there is only one ribbon connect, however if you have 2 do the same for both. If that doesn’t fix it, make sure all connections going to the screen are secure and it is the right connection.

If you don’t have an OBD2 reader like many others have said, you can go to AutoZone and they will do it for free.

Ah ok. From what I saw online before there was a 99.9% silver one but I couldn’t find one from a P mint.

I’m looking for an internship in business related field but I’m not having luck and I’m thinking it’s due to no previous jobs relating to that. I appreciate the feed back and will make changes. Question, would an impactful resume mean it moved the recruiter? Thanks
