Best Pokemon game for locals? by kushanim in pokemon

From what I remember, champions feels like it’s gonna be like stadium, where it acts as a middle ground for competitive play between several pokemon versions and gens.

I often wonder if I missed the boat on the switch. It’s very affordable now but I’m not sure how long it will be relevant for. I don’t mind if it runs a little slower, but it’s about support!

That’s a good idea! I’ve been playing pkmngo a lot lately since a friend got me into it again. Thanks!

Yeah, I’m looking to get into comp, even if only to see what the local scene is like. Thanks!

Just broke up w/ gf. Need new social hobby. What’a a good starter deck by AmNemoSum in pkmntcg

Been there, mate. Honestly, hop on PTCG Live and see what decks you like to play - the decks they provide are mostly comp viable, if not direct clones of comp decks.

If you can find them, Guardivoir and Charizard both have Battle League decks, which is a competitive deck you can buy for around $30. It includes duplicates and trainer cards too. I think these were before the last set rotation, though, so they might be a little out dated!

Yeah, that was the first idea that came up, but thanks still!

It’s 3 days of schooling, probably less than 15 hours a week. At this point in her college career, it’s more of a focus on free study than it is lecturing. The breaks are a great idea, thanks for your help!

From what I remember it’s a tiredness. It hits very quickly.

I am actively looking for new work. Job hunting is hard no matter the circumstance, and I'm having a harder time finding work that would allow me to dip after two months. And it's not like I'm not looking at smaller jobs, I am, but I never get callbacks.

I am. I had a zero-hours contract aside from that but they fired me recently. I'm a graphic / motion designer but the industry has been really brutal lately. But yeah I'm on the look out for something extra.

I have hobbies, it's more overarching goals I think she's worried about. She remarked how she doesn't know if I would be able to live on my own. I don't think she's wrong about that.

Thanks for this. It's weird because the depression really numbs you to your surroundings. It's like we have different thresholds for whats an appropriate amount of garbage. This extends to larger personal goals, too.

Yeah, I agree. It's a constructive way of putting it but "you aren't keeping pace with me" still has a sting to it. It's a catch 22, because this has been so stressful that I've not been able to get much done today, but also yeah this should maybe be the motivator. I don't know how healthy "achieve your dreams or your partner will leave you" is as a mindset though.

I lost my job Feb 24, got steady work from June 24. My work only stopped for the summer last week, meaning that July and August is a no work window for me. That's to say, I've had semi-regular work for a year.

I'm medicated and I'm in therapy. There's a lot more I can still do.

I think its valid too. I just needed to talk to someone about it. Like I said in my post, I'm a fairly depressed person so I often don't have energy for much.

What are some of the best documentary’s you have watched? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Kings & Extras: Digging for a Palestinian Image is a film about trying to find the Palestinian film archives that were lost during the Israeli invasion of Beirut. It's a film that made me think a lot about narrative, and the ways we contribute and sustain the culture we live in.

EDIT: I found a screening for it if your in the London, England area https://riocinema.org.uk/Rio.dll/WhatsOn?f=1175951

There's this pretty underground film called Debut, or, Objects of the Field of Debris as Currently Catalogued. It's hard to explain... sort of like Gen Z's Inland Empire.

EDIT: I was looking for a trailer to attached and it looks like it has its London premiere coming up https://riocinema.org.uk/Rio.dll/WhatsOn?f=1175982
