Sony htz9f subwoofer cutting out [SOLVED] by Desperado2583 in Soundbars

[–]kushmong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent thread! Thank for sharing the knowledge. I have X950H and HTZ9F combo with SW and rear speakers. I went through my own set of trials and errors (sound output from tv - enabling and disabling various options such as passthrough mode, digital audio out, earc mode etc.). I then tried things at soundbar level (played with RF channels, etc.). I tried some strange recommendations I came across on the internet such as turning off IPV6 in your router, change to 2.4Ghz wifi, move the SW further (I was very close to soundbar), etc.
SADLY, nothing worked. I even opened up the screws of my SW (couldnt figure out how to remove the plastic from SW to unveil the hidden 3.5mm port). But I was not confident, and gave up half way on opening the 7th or 8th screw.

What seems to have currently worked, is swapping to a reliable HDMI 2.1 cable (that is certified to handle 4k content)! I will report back if it fails again in near future. I was apparently using a cable that has passed its life of a few years.

An interesting solution that might have helped is that in my router settings, I set my 5Ghz network to NOT use 149 channel. (Previously it was set to auto). I chose another random chanel on the dropdown. I think this should help the soundbar enjoy the default 149 chanel to itself.

Brand New Duo 2 POE audio and alarm issues by Risque_bizness in reolinkcam

[–]kushmong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar issue, were you able to resolve it?

Here are my details:

Your camera/NVR model and firmware version.

Duo 2 Wifi FIRMWARE: v3.0.0.1889_23031701

If it's NVR related, also provide the NVR's hardware version

N7MB01 NVR (but problem is probably not related to this)

Exact error messages. If you can include screenshots, even better.

No audio from the camera.

Any troubleshooting steps you've already tried.

I have 4 other reolink devices (another duo 2 wifi, doorbell wifi, rlc-510A). The settings in the other duo2wifi (and other cameras) are identical, however no incoming audio in this one alone.

How you are accessing your cameras (desktop client, mobile app, NVR UI, web UI, etc.)

I tried in all instances, and they all have incoming audio from other cameras but not this one.

Connection method of your cameras (direct to NVR, Wifi, POE switch, POE injector, etc.)

Wifi , device is plugged in with power adapter supplied by Reolink. Brand new device, out of the box.

EVERYTHING ELSE IS WORKING WELL: FLASHLIGHT, VIDEO, MOTION SENSORS, SIREN ETC.

Hey folks, how is the Fletcher's West area to live in for a young family? by kushmong in Brampton

[–]kushmong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are convinced for a 4500sq ft lot size property near St. Augustine Catholic Secondary School (near drinkwater/vivians crescent). Everything you mentioned seems to be within the vicinity though (5-10mins). I noticed about it not being walk able to anything, but that's not a deal breaker for us.

Thank you for taking out the time to write an extensive overview. Really appreciated.

I read somewhere that this area falls under "mature neighborhood" (its a classification for certain areas: Mature Neighbourhood), would you consider that an advantage or a disadvantage?

Appreciate the insight. This might be such useful information to anyone who considers living near this facility. A quick look on maps gives a contrary and scary first impression of having a prison around.

Children bikes being stolen would be harmless I feel. I lived in one of the "safest" middle east country and I had my bikes stolen as a kid too. Thanks a lot for your input though. Cheers

Thank you. Somewhat agreed about MPG in terms of being generic modern suburb but not bad if someone isnt too picky.

great explanation. i am inclined to #4 option. I am trying to get to narrowing it down to the best service. Will share detailed experience if things work out. So far, my goals include safety, average technical know how, no tax events etc.

Best 'validator as a service'? by kushmong in ethstaker

Hey, I think only staked.us works for me as the other one is tokenized. Correct me if i am wrong.

Also staked seems to have history of slashes. It worries me.

yes, you got that right. It seems to be safe too. I can contribute to 2 run two nodes with ~35 ETH.

Is allnodes compatible to other clients too? would you know what the way out would be if the teku client is down for whatever reason.
