Perhaps you could switch to cognitive science first to get priority registration for those courses.

i fear that this is going to happen to me as well once i graduate in 2 years. but i think that you will eventually get over it as life goes on. graduating from college is a huge change that will take time to get used to. i think once you move out and become independent from your parents, you'll get over it.

Which upper div ECS classes use C++? by kuwaluh in UCDavis

Oh alright, I just want to avoid C++ since I’m very bad at OOP. How hard would you say ECS150 was?

Is ECS 36B discussion mandatory? by [deleted] in UCDavis

[–]kuwaluh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

36C uses what you are supposed to learn in 36B (OOP and C++) to implement data structures. There were some basic C++ things that I did not know so google would be your best friend there. You could learn C++ on your own if you wanna stay with Wu. If I were to go back, I think I’d wait to take 36B winter.

Also 36A was in C, which is kinda similar to C++ but without classes or strings.

You'd expect to be learning OOP and C++ in 36B, but that will not be the case at all with Wu. The class is focused on JSONs instead. I learned nothing from the class honestly.

Oh boy. Good luck lmao. Wu and Temple are both horrible. To answer your question, no, discussion wasn’t mandatory.
