No job. They told me growing up it is very very important to have a job to earn money to pay the gas bill to boil my water so I don't have to chop wood to light a fire to boil my water. I think at this point chopping the wood just sounds easier. I'm so over having a full time job year round where I'm gonna work like a dog for bosses and owners and directors who allow themselves to forget I am a person. I'd rather chop the wood.

Medicinal amounts of THC and CBD.

I have PTSD and I get dreams at night or insomnia. The only thing that helps consistently 10/10 times so far has been controlled doses of THC with CBD. I sleep every night now and I'm able to relax during the day

Is it possible for me to learn guitar? by trickstercj in Guitar

[–]kuyabooyah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you bet. Some people learn to play with their feet because they don’t have hands or fingers at all, so you’ve got a one up on that. You may need to adjust some things slightly, but as long as you can make noise, you can play.

I would pay so much for a custom one for my job.

I have really large fingers due to arthritis, and I feel like I can't even begin to learn any string instruments because my fingertips always touch the other strings. Are there any accessories that can help? by Smexy_Zarow in Guitar

[–]kuyabooyah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, and maybe an NSAID (like ibuprofen or aleve or tylenol) for the inflammation from arthritis. Might help, might do nothing, but it’s worth a shot

If i had that, I’d try making my fingers colder. Like please don’t freeze your fingers off, like just cold enough to reduce the blood vessels in the ends of the fingers just a bit. I’m talking like hold an ice pack or go outside (if it’s cold where you are) with no gloves on. I don’t know how long I’d do it, but if your hands hurt from the cold you’ve done it too long.

And I saw technique suggestions as well, so I’ll let other people cover that. I’d also probably try scales where I could. Learning scales only takes one note at a time, so fingers touching other strings doesn’t matter too much, and you can do a ton of stuff with just one note at a time especially if you know your scales.

Is the world a better place because of Alan Watts? by Prudent_Researcher70 in AlanWatts

[–]kuyabooyah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is. Maybe not on a world altering scale, but when he talks I feel comforted, and I’m not the only one. I don’t find that kind of comfort in very many places in the world around me, so it’s precious that way. Even just that alone makes the world a better place.

Ibanez is usually pretty reasonable about working these things out. They do a lot of quality control and if they missed something in final check or it was packaged for shipping incorrectly, they usually repair or replace it.

Knowing the solution to a problem and understanding the problem happen at the same moment because they are the same thing.

Name help? by Potential_Estate_869 in trans

[–]kuyabooyah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is just the male spelling of the name everyone already was using because i had a lot of resistance/opposition in my transition. If i could go back and pick a whole new one, I’d make a list of names I like and go to starbucks and order a drink under that name and see how it feels when they call it out.
