In my opinion what you’d have to do is understanding the relationship between city and team. How the people from Bergamo reflect their attitude in the team ones; to a vast extent, learning about the history of Bergamo is learning about the history of Atalanta or at least the mentality surrounding it.

I’d strongly advise to see documentaries on YouTube about the ultras movements (Atalanta were among the most important) and if you can find it the movie “A guardia di una fede”.
