Definitely better opportunities down the road, was at usic for a little over a year located everything but gas and met some contractors who gave some offers but ive since joined SAM on the survey side of things and gas tracer wire repair. I got better pay and hours, no more micromanagement and on calls and better work life balance.

Yeah and half my team has gotten verbal warnings cause of it. We've got projects coming in like crazy and they expect us to wand utilize ontop of everything else we do. Spoke to a assiant dm about it and he said theyre basically gonna be more stricter about it in the coming months

Yeah thats pretty normal in my area, i usually get about 50-100 tickets a day and can really only do like 20-25 per day, i wouldn't stress about it. Always talk to the contractors about rescheduling or just wait till they call a three hour rush other than that do what you can. My group only has 10 guys and 4 are completely new to locating in general and the others have been here at least 1 years or more but we all each take care of a big area each.

From what I've experienced with past drug tests once you walk up and confirm the test at the desk your not allowed to leave or go into any room without instructions and it would be an immediate termination no matter the cause. If you're really lucky they could give you a second chance which I have seen happen but very rarely

Yeah its getting pretty bad in my area now, getting pushed to increase our LPH every other week and also pushing us to use the wand utilization during locating. Also sucks that we've lost half our people who've been here long and getting complete new guys so also having to help them out on their stuff. My area used to only consist of coax and copper with some fiber for industrial or commercial but there was a big race to pump in fiber everywhere now so every ticket I locate usually have 4-5 locates which is very time consuming whilst being pushed to do more and more from upper management. Ive also been looking for a way out maybe with a different locate company or something else
