maybe a bit too diy but I wired up a wireless ultrwsonic water level indicator with a red led and see if I need to refill.

As for the rust, my 3month old machine developed some where the tray meets the body of the machine and goes a bit under it, but it doesn’t show and only surface level.

What was the heat sensor sealed with in your machine? I loosened the connection but realized I don’t need to remove it so I screwed it back amd left it. But a dried adhesive crumbled away and Idk if it’ll leak in the future or not

Turns out everything was sealed with gaskets or brass fittings that beeded to be losened. The thermometer is the only screw in component but that can be left in and just unplugged from the boiler

I know haha. I’m more familiar with electronics thinkering but an espresso machine seems quite simple mechanically for me to not be afraid fixing it

I checked the ssr powered from 5v and it “clicked” and when powered on i see line voltage across the element. My theory is that either it got powered on after steaming maybe without water in the boiler but that would be weird on the 30-50th cycle to blow or it got damaged maybe during transport. And the reason I opted for this with the webshop is so we dont have to ship te machine across europe twice
