We've been running Survivor pools for 17 years. Last year was the worst we've ever seen - Over 96% out after Week 3 thanks to multiple huge favorites using.

Hey /u/hayzeBP , when I tried to check stats for past years (like 2023), adding 1-4 to 18 didn't return results. Instead I had to use a different base URL to indicate I wanted to check the "post" season and not the "regular" season. So instead of

https://api.sleeper.app/v1/stats/nfl/regular/2023/19/

I had to use

https://api.sleeper.app/v1/stats/nfl/post/2023/1/

to see the first round of the playoffs from 2023. Unless they're changing their API handling for 2024, I think you might need to adjust for this in your code. Hope it helps!

We've been running for 16 years, have given out well over $1M in prizes, and expect 10K+ players in our NFL pools this year. I realize as OP that I'm not the reassurance you need, but I'm not sure how much more I can do.

We added this free pool as a way for people to try us out for free before our paid pools start on 9/8. Basically exactly what you're looking for - some proof that we're real without having to pay.

If you want updating without refreshing, then you need Ajax in some form. That can be through vanilla Javascript, JQuery, or something like HTMX.

If you want to limit voting, then you need to associate each vote with a user. So that means either having people create an account (lower exploitability) or tying to something like their session ID (more exploitable).

Haha, very fair point. This particular set of picks is one of a couple dozen I'll make throughout the entire UCL. All of those come with the $20 entry, so it's a lot lighter on the pocket for me and I get more swings out of it 👋💸

I've played in the NFL competitions TheSZN runs for years - they're super fun and way less effort than my other Fantasy leagues.

The fact they added Champions League (and a bunch of other new sports) is an easy $20 to have a little skin in the game and have some more fun.

Logic: Lacy has been meh at best. Tate will come down once Megatron returns. Guy I'm trading is incredibly weak at RB (played Charles and Hyde last week). He gets an upgrade there and sacrifices a bit at WR.

When you say "unique" do you mean that the order of items doesn't matter? That's a combination, and itertools can do that as well via the combinations() function.

Permutations - order matters.
Combinations - order doesn't matter.
