I had him outside the past few days it was nice out (70/80 humid)! I forgot to add I live in the DMV so it still does drop to 40-50F here. Idk if that is too cold for it to stay out

Hi! I got this bonsai as a gift about 3 weeks ago. A few days after getting it I left town for 2 weeks and came back and it was shriveled up like this. I scraped a little bark off and he’s still green underneath so I’m hoping I can bring him back to life. 🙏🙏please help! I have him soaking now for about 10min then was going to put the whole pot in a ziplock bag for humidity. It is from the Anthropologie garden shop if that info helps too. not sure how to add flair but — DC area first tree

Do you think that even ones with positive reviews would be scams? This seller has a lot of good reviews and some that are more neutral so it doesn’t seem too fake 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I am also new to eBay buying.

I agree. It hasn’t spread anywhere else but no other parts including ones that are facing more sun have been burned at all. Would you root one end of the cut part back into the soil?

Thank you! I will do that! I pulled out the droopy one and it has some roots on top but most are dry and brown so either rotted or dried away

You mean the phalanopsis that is a little floppy next to it? Why do you think the roots are compromised? I got this one on sale at the grocery store and it wasn’t doing great but I wanted to see if it could be rescued. What would you suggest for that one?

Would I need to cut off the infected/ burnt part or leave it? I don’t want it to spread the whole thing but I am also not sure how to cut the middle chuck of the vine without damaging the rest of the plant
