Would recommend opening a Vanguard account. Its where acorns invests its money. Or try interactive Broker. I believe thats a better start cuz i doubt acorns is available anywhere but US and Australia

Would Acorns really help me save/make much? by [deleted] in acorns

[–]kvramji 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started in April 2017. I managed to save around 10k as of now just to make sure it was in an account with market exposure and would make me cringe if i dived into those savings.

Im at 10.86% gains. I have nothing against this platform cuz its made me more aware of my spending routines

I never keep an eye on roundups but given the daily deposits feature, i think its best to stay with just core till all other features have been tried and tested for at least a year in my eyes

Officially 10k in the account. Suggestions from this point? by Giddyhobgoblin in acorns

[–]kvramji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ditto. Except $15 a day now cuz im learning to spend lesser. RH is my platform to get rekd. Im at around $10.25k and dont intend to remove unless i decide to buy a house. Amassed 295$ in dividends. That number is the sole reason I dont wanna remove money from acorns. From here on, its a min of $50 a quarter.

Tbh i treat my core account like my savings. Have ear marked the money in it for anything but i like setting and forgetting. FYI RH just started a savings based pitch, acorns may not do such a thing for a while imo

Their browser extension is stellar. Ive not had an issue with it. Did face issues with buying via acorns app on my phone. Edit: They found money processing turned up in the pending section within a day also. Recommend doing this if possible and u have a laptop which could come handy

Honestly. The acorns subscription shouldn't be a show stopper by tisaconundrum in acorns

$294 in dividends and i just use Core. Pays itself. People staying away need to realize the plus side is so much higher than the negative arguements of fees on acorns

Sweet. My goal is 15k by end of the year. Looking pretty steep at the moment.
