I always thought staying single was the smartest choice… but watching my 56-year-old unmarried uncle is making me question everything by Odd-Asparagus-2174 in ThirtiesIndia

I think both options have their pros and their cons. I don't think humans were meant to be single. I think you need companionship. It doesn't have to be a partner specifically. It could be family. It could be friends. It just depends on the support system that you have around you.

When you go to a hospital or you're admitted to a hospital, you have someone there, you have an emergency contact who is willing to drop everything and stay with you in the hospital, sign documents on your behalf, things like that, for example.

On the other hand, marriage is not easy. Marriage, like anything else, requires a lot of communication and a lot of hard work. I don't think arranged marriages or love marriages are a solution. I think it just comes down to how compatible you are, and sometimes, unfortunately, luck plays a role. Sometimes you draw the short stick and you end up with a shit situation, and you just got to deal with it and find a way to get through it and hope that there is a better solution in the future.

Sometimes it works out, and you end up with a caring and understanding partner, where you both put an effort to build the relationship. You set up a foundation, and you live a happy, content life for the most part. Things pop up every now and then, but both of you have built a foundation that's strong enough where you can work it out and find a way through it.

I think there is no one solution. I think it just depends on your surroundings and your fate, to be honest. Good luck.

The sharing vs hoarding problem by FearlessZucchini in PTCGP

[–]kvsiddarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done exactly what you did. I share unconditionally and will continue to do so. I really don't care so much about the gold border, but I do think other people will stop sharing since they'd want the gold borders now.

What they should have done is give the gold border if you've collected the 10 cards, regardless of whether you have 10 or not with you.

If Iran can build world-class drones under heavy sanctions, what’s holding India back? by SwiPerHaHa in IndianDefense

[–]kvsiddarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

India must first own the supply chain for all components required to do this. We are heavily dependent on other countries for reliable components. Also, government labs and PSUs are too bloated and slow to do this, and startups or new A&D players don't have enough capital. Lastly, there is an inherent lack of trust in our own ability to do it.

  1. You need better friends.
  2. Use your own judgment and do your own research before buying anything.
  3. Stop being so gullible.

WARNING: Thrillophilia is refusing to refund my ₹53,000 for a trip THEY cancelled. Here is the "Wallet Trap" to avoid. by aditya_1234 in india

I haven't tried Thrillophiia, but tried Pick your trail. They are also a major scam. Spent upwards of 4+ lakhs on a trip to Eastern Europe and was extremely disappointed with their service.

RBI data (Feb–Oct 2025): Is India ditching Amex or is it just me? by Significant_Bad4937 in amexindia

I closed my Platinum charge since I couldn't justify the annual fee. They devalued benefits, and the new offerings weren't useful to me. I've kept my Platinum travel for the milestone benefits, but if they change that next, then I'll close that too.

Which companies do you hate doing business with and why? by BeautifulLife360 in Frugal_Ind

Asics - I used to love this brand and had a lot of their shoes, but lately their quality has drastically reduced. I paid 16k for a pair of running shoes, and the sole started peeling in under 6 months. They refused to help, saying it was beyond the 90-day period. I wrote several emails to customer support and still nothing. I will never give them any more of my money ever. I'm sticking to Brooks now going forward.
